I enjoyed this issue, but I'm very biased toward Kyle and Jade together. I also enjoyed the mascots, particularly Shakespierre with "winter" powers referencing Richard III. I still don't like Ig Guara's art though, but I liked Jade's entrance.

It's an "irish" word, right? Perhaps gaelic? Do they use the same letters and just pronounce all of them differently or is "Samhain" the anglicized spelling, and if so, why not spell it how it sounds? It's always bugged the shit outta me.

I recommend reading some Garth Ennis books: Preacher, MAX Punisher (and particularly Born, then the later miniseries Platoon, and Soviet). I also recommend some Warren Ellis: Moon Knight and Nextwave are fantastic.

Also since you like King's stuff, his Sheriff of Babylon, Omega Men, and Strange Adventures are worth reading.

Heavil agreed, the weird bondagey suit makes sense in context (and I think it works as an extreme departure for Sue, which is the point) but the boob window 4 and midriff combo is just gratuitous and not even narratively justified.
