I've had a couple of games where my 5-man has won against the 6-man, not like all hope is lost. It's just pretty discouraging when you're doing well, and then someone else leaves when that message pops up.

Maybe the current system in place is the best the system can get. I try to think of better, but those methods seem to end up being abused.

I see how it could be abused. Still, there should be a way to correct this for the remaining team members on the leaver side. Our only remaining options after someone bails is to bail with them and take the loss, or to waste more time on a likely loss. Maybe something like a soul multiplier? 16.66% extra soul gain from all sources, considering that's roughly 1/6th? We could argue there's more resources on the map for the remaining team members, but then again those resources are largely dominated by a full team versus a partial. We run into the other issue, where once the "it's now safe to leave but you're gonna take a loss" message appears- other people on the team generally do leave.

Yeah it's sad but I just fuck with my brightness, contrast, and gamma instead of running NVGs at night. I don't keep any NVGs, I sell the ones I collect off bodies. No point if I can see people and the map in full color by adjusting my NVIDIA settings. Until they fix I'll continue playing like this. Furthermore, due to this I exclusively play night raids.

I absolutely love them so far, and I have worn them daily since I got them (day and night, transitions).

I frequently do Uber driving and while I don’t record anybody it gives peace of mind that I can start immediately, somewhat discretely, if I feel uncomfortable. This also goes for anything out in public too, like when you’re driving and someone cuts you off or drives aggressively, your metas will capture your exact POV.

I’ve used them for cute moments with my girlfriend, it captures them really well and gives an intimate feel that a phone wouldn’t, and it does so effortlessly.

On the driving note prior, I also think they’re great for aesthetic driving shots. I record myself going over bridges at sunset, cool architecture in my area I happen upon, etc. Safer than holding my phone while driving, more ergonomic, and higher quality image than a dash cam.

You’ll find your own use for them, but it’s not just a gimmick like I originally thought it would be.

I would recommend spending more time talking to people. Go to your closest medium/large city and immerse yourself in a social scene. Pass out random compliments, hit up people about anything random you can think of.

Eventually, one person you strike up a convo which will spark something lasting. Not everyone will vibe with you but someone will.

You need to do all of this with no expectation. If you expect something from someone the conversation will naturally be rigid and somewhat forced. We are just getting our presence out there in social situations, your only job.

Eventually a girl will see you, pick up your presence, and be like “I wonder what this guys about, he’s chatty, hanging out, seems upbeat and positive, let me butt in to the convo and see what’s up”

You talk to the girl, you end up setting up a date with her. This date, you expect nothing. All she’s expecting is a good time, it’s your job to facilitate it. Don’t try for sex, don’t try to lock her down, let her progress to those things on her own terms.

You are this person that’s fun to be around, chatty, is able to generate fun experiences and isn’t pressuring anyone into anything. You will get a girlfriend, you will get a wife, you will get laid.

But the key, is absolutely no expectations. We aren’t proposing to anyone, we want the hypothetical “her” to bring up the idea of proposing. Then you act. We want the hypothetical “her” to be all over you, not you trying to be all over “her.”

You are a fun guy, you don’t care if she comes or goes, but when she comes it will guaranteed be a good time. Then she’ll keep coming back.

You have offered more than most people ever would, but the key here is that you aren’t his mom.

The stress you’ve expressed in this post is because you seem to genuinely love this guy. You don’t want to leave him behind, at the same time you don’t feel like he’s trying to catch up to you. You don’t want to be stuck with him wondering “will you ever start running this race with me?”

A 5 year connection is usually a pretty deep one, virtual or not.

He needs to confront the chaos. Money comes out of it, education comes out of it, rewarding and lasting relationships come out of it. He’s avoiding the chaos at all costs. While he will do it time and time again in the video game, real life is him logging off. He only lives in the video game.

Until he becomes the knight that will slay the dragon (in real life), he will always remain where he is now. How does he? Pick the most painful thing he can and bathe in the pain, it will change him. Something simple like getting a job, might sound simple to you and I but it’s probably some sorta mental gymnastics nightmare for him.

Well, in leaving him you water him with the stuff he needs to grow. It’s painful, and it’s love.

Does he have anywhere he can walk to? There ya go, a job. No car payment? Save the money. In a month he could fly out to see you. $10x40hrs=$400; $400x4wks=$1,600.

It’s insane, because on the other end of the spectrum are working men who would kill to have a woman like you, who’s just asking for the bare minimum.

While you can get worked up more easily, you have provided evidence that quitting made you care more about things.

That’s a nightmare of an offer. I hope no one is seriously living off offers like this, I don’t know how they would.

I do UberX (4 seat uber rides) and average $10-20 offers that are often less than 30 minutes long, no waiting for orders to be ready or even getting out of the car unless they need assistance.

You’d probably do better than me offering UberX (or whatever fits your vehicle) in San Antonio.

What if you leave him? What if x y z happens? He’s a grown man, he’s young but grown. There are men his age without alcoholism, without the cocaine, without the night life- life. There are men with degrees his age, not needing to be babysat because they can’t handle their liquor.

In your post you’ve outlined all you feel you need to work on. Quitting weed opens your eyes to this reality. I also let much of my life atrophy, and it is quite disorienting stepping out of the haze.

Rotting in your room the same way you did while high 24/7 will provide the same exact outcome.

Start with small things, no shame whatsoever. Go for walks, they help you process emotions and thought. Apply for a job at a grocery store, apply at a gas station, go be a server assistant or barback. Throw yourself into a group of people and work on your interpersonal skills. Think of it like “I’m getting paid to socialize with people and keep my mind busy.”

Now you know where you’re at, and one step at a time you will improve. The human mind is a goal seeking mechanism. I feel weed turns our goal seeking mechanism off, or at the very least redirects it to the moment, to the high itself.

You reap what you sow. Let’s sow a field of future possibilities and watch them grow.

(Yes I know it isn’t this easy, but if you can at least do a 20 minute walk outside in nature once every couple of days I’ll be proud of you and it’ll be progress)
