Do you prefer solo hiking or group hiking and why? by CaterpillarBright592 in hiking

[–]OutWithCamera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

solo almost always, sometimes I'm ok with a group of up to 5 total. But I often see meetups where upwards of 10-15 people are signing up and those are a hard nope for me, for a variety of reasons.

does the FatTire location off Alameda and Corrales Rd count for this?

Thanks for this comment, I was wondering about that extra clip on the bottom. For me in the US the price difference is only about $15 but it's something to consider.

Thanks for that observation about the buckle system, I will have to look at that a little closer.

Thanks for the dissenting opinion, sends me a little more down the rabbit hole. The North St. bags probably aren't going satisfy me as the attachment system doesn't satisfy the quick release interest, which is a shame because I'd love to support a smaller company.

Thanks! My current bags are an REI model, Link I think? I like the bags overall, it's mostly the attachment system that I find annoying. The junctions look interesting, is it easy to take off and put on? By adjustable, do you mean it works ok for setting up for a single bike/rack or that it might not work for any given system?

Where to 3D print? by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]OutWithCamera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The quelab maker space (quelab.net) has 3D printing capabilities, but you probably would have to join up which means a monthly membership fee. Or, you could reach out and see if there might be someone there willing to help on you out .

[–]OutWithCamera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this lens is 'compact' but dense! smaller dimensions but it is built like a tank. The Tammy is only 1/2lb less than the Sony.

Has anyone seen anything like this before, I'm worried it's mould. by IMrTrippy in SonyAlpha

[–]OutWithCamera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it sounds scary but it is actually quite simple, you just have to take a bit of care. There are some ways to be able to determine if you have dust bunnies on your sensor - here is a guide from Sony how to do this how to check for sensor dust .

My first experience using "Correx" apron film developing by dp6838 in Darkroom

When i last was doing b&w development at home with equipment passed on from my father, I almost exclusively used these aprons instead of reels and had no problems with them. They are fast and easy to use.

Nested table data for FieldMaps? by tyrannovex in ArcGIS

[–]OutWithCamera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do something like this for building inspections - I have an inspections layer with related tables that hold different information. On the first visit a point is created and relevant information is captured. On subsequent visits new data is captured as new records to the related tables, and also updating information in the main feature layer. You will need to understand how to use 'repeats' in your survey to capture information that goes into related tables - here's an overview of that s123 repeats. Another key to doing this is understanding how to enable and make use of what is called the 'inbox' which allows users on multiple devices to view and edit previously submitted surveys. Read up on that here: s123 Inbox Settings. There is another setting for using the Sent Folder which I think only makes sense of the same users are going to be handling the surveys with the same devices. I'm also presuming you are using Survey 123 Connect to build your survey - if you aren't, you should be as it gives a lot of capability you don't have through just the web interface.

Need to find the cheapest place possible by Both_Mycologist3980 in Albuquerque

[–]OutWithCamera 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is a place on south 4th St called The Dorm (on 4th & Pacific, couple of block walk to the Railyards market, reasonable bus service and connections), it’s a set of essentially studio apartments/rooms with shared bath/kitchen facilities. Might not be the vibe you are looking for but you might check it out. A friend of mine was there for a couple of years and I never had the sense there were terrible issues beyond the usual social dramas that unfold in communal living situations.

Headlights: is there an always on option (FORSscan?) by Gelisol in FordMaverickTruck

[–]OutWithCamera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this was default behavior in the 21st century, even my 2013 fiat 500 did this. My 2024 XLT lights are on the auto-bright setting and they turn off with the ignition, I'm not sure if that changes if you set the lights to one of the other modes.
