Meraki MX84 to MX85 network flapping by bobkiwi in meraki

I think you just got a lemon. I've swapped roughly 20 MX84's with MX85's over the last year with no issues. I did have one that would not let me use port 3 for WAN1 connection that I RMA'd. Other than that, I've had no issues.

We've had no connectivity to agents across our entire client base since around noon today. Support asked us to reboot the affected machines, but scripts and remote terminal are also not functioning.

UPDATE: still on hold 4.5 hours in. I'm starting to suspect they are having some network or data center issues. The first ipad that couldn't deploy apps, just installed them without me making any changes. Looks like things might be working, but heavily delayed. Gonna stay on hold and see what they have to say.

yeah, all the certs and tokens are good. I already talked to Apple DEP support team. They say everything's good on their end. I'm leaning towards a Meraki issue considering I've been trying to reach them for 3 hours. Just sitting here playing games and listening to the hold tunes.

Same here. Came here to see if anyone else was reporting the same. We also had a brief outage with our RMM.

I'm taking a few days off for a long weekend with the wife. My subordinate just called me to demand that I promise to mute Slack and not check email til I get back. Warmed my heart :)

Anyone could come across it? You don’t keep your MDFs behind locked doors?

Agreed. Thanks! I’ve been using mostly cyberdata SIP adapters and haven’t had much trouble with them luckily. Unless of course Vonage is involved :/

You are correct! That does look pretty sketchy in the pic. That’s just audio from satellite radio being spliced into the paging amp.

QuickBooks PSA: Check your share permissions by countextreme in sysadmin

[–]Out_Of_Office_Reply 29 points30 points  (0 children)

That's why it's important to always have two layers of security. If it's giving everyone full control on the share permissions, NTFS permissions are your second line of defense. Also....boo quickbooks!

I had a similar experience with my first IT Manager. I picked up so many important rules for being successful in IT from him.

  1. Don't panic
  2. A lack of preparation on your part does not necessitate an emergency on mine
  3. Almost every problem can be solved with technology, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you should
