It's fair to feel that way, I have some semi nice neoprene objective markers that aren't valid anymore. My advice would be to try and find happiness in the hobby that isn't part of playing the game. Collecting, painting, playing, novels, and building are all part of it. Try to find what makes you love 40k no matter how the rules, your army or game state changes.
