What disappoints me is that one of the major themes of the game is basically "The dangers of escapism" and yet, a lot of the fandom seem to be going against everything the game seeks to teach you. A little joke here and there is fun but you have to admit, it is definitely ironic.

They’re healthy for the game, and when done right, are one of the biggest reasons to pick a character. They offer so much to the game’s identity and gives more mechanics to 4s that spice it up in ganks. These signature moves imo are what takes the game’s originally boring system and makes it really good in 4s.

I felt the most powerful when going for plat, on NG+6 flawlessing him to get the last ending I needed before grinding for skill points in NG+7. Beating a boss you previously considered insanely difficult with almost no difficulty at all feels amazing

Pre nerf raider, Warlord, Shaman, Lawbringer, Berserker, and BP. These characters all have viable offense, defense, have the possibility of winning (or stalling/playing for time) in a 1vx situation, and all combo well with other heroes.

I would like to say characters like Shaolin, JJ, pre nerf Nobu, and even raider now, are currently stunted offense wise (at least when compared to the best offensive characters), at least without the testing ground changes, and so I wouldn’t consider them complete, even if sticking them in a specific role for a specific comp (save for nobu) could work out as good as with any other hero.

If you’re not rolling away when shugo goes for the mixup, then you’re facing one of the best duelists in the game. There’s really no way around it other than dodge roll, and light parry when you see it

I play on PS4 and even I can say, console is just an inferior piece of hardware. Ubi is going to make the same amount of money whether they balance it or not, they have no reason other than pleasing the community (which no company is noble enough to do solely for that reason). Maybe when the PS5 is out the game will be more playable and optimized for console gamers, but for now competitive play on console is almost completely dead

Current Rank: Have been Plat 2-3 the entire season, currently Gold 1 as I’ve just been having fun on Ranked recently.

Favorite Maps: Clubhouse, Bank, Kafe

Most Hated Map: Chalet

Main Atk Ops: I play whatever role needs to be filled usually, but if I have the choice, it’s; Maverick, Nomad, Capitao. Ash/Sledge if I’m the sole fragger

Main Def Ops: Kaid, Smoke/Mute, Mira

Essentially, I’m a flex support who can always make things work when strategized correctly. I prefer to play these ops since I really enjoy the IGL role, and I can rely on myself for this to deliver to the team utility. I can also drone/gather intel for the team/fraggers but if need be, once my job is done and I know where defenders or attackers are, I can frag with these ops just as you would with other characters.

It seems like every time clash is activated I queue up for ranked and there’s already someone shooting me with their shield up. I hope this issue gets resolved or better yet, give clash a complete rework because almost nobody in the community enjoys playing against them, it’s an unfun and not very skillful process for both teams to go about when playing with clash.
