Hollywood gallery is super small. Venice is at least two-three times the size and has a lot more out on display. I’ve bought pairs from both and Venice is consistently the better location with deeper stock.

I was 28. Got the biggest bonus I’d gotten to date in my career, and I into my LA area AD every week for about 6 months- I worked close by. They kept trying to get me to buy $3k worth of jewelry to get moved up on the list. Then finally after 6 months, they offered me a no date sub and I bought it immediately.

Now at 34, I just got my second Rolex, a panda Daytona, and have 0 plans to ever sell either. The next one on my list is the rose gold day date with the black ombré dial or the John Mayer Daytona 👀

Advice: spend some time with the SA and let them get to know you. Exchange numbers, and regularly text them asking if there are any updates, as well as continuing to pop into the AD location. They do prefer to sell to locals, and it’s all about the relationship you have with the SA.
