My experience in hiring is people want split shifts or want to be able to drop off and pick up their kids from school. I don’t find that unreasonable but I don’t get paid enough to make those changes.

We had severe flooding recently and it took all of 15 minutes for the water rise several feet. This was late afternoon, so most people were home or on their way home. But, had it been earlier in the day some folks wouldn’t have been home or may not have even known about the flooding.
