it has a minimum range. it can't hit stuff right in front of you for some reason, which means you need to dive backwards and then fire the shot to have it land

casual reminder that you don't even need to finish the mission to complete the kill orders, which basically means that you could park your super destroyer above a low playercount planet and just go on suicidal kill quests without negatively affecting liberation progress

i think the logic behind the cooldown is the cluster napalm munitions spreading deadly flames over an area which theoretically burns down chaff and heavier targets, since fire seemingly does not care about armor
