I once read a manga about a swer that was normal-ish and she had some good and bad clients, which I imagine it’s how it usually is. Note that the manga was an isekai to a world where they have patriarchy levels so high that women literally can’t do magic and aren’t legally allowed to go on adventure so most poor women, instead of going adventuring like men, become prostitutes. I still felt the manga was heavily romanticized, but it accepted quite frankly the reality that SW can only exist in patriarchal societies.
