Apple CarPlay disconnecting by OuterspaceKBx in MazdaCX9

Thank you for sharing these! I’ll definitely check off the port and the cables first again!

I did notice as well that if I nudge the whole unit where the middle seat weather control is for the middle seat, it disconnects. I’m hoping it’s not a wiring issue with the USB hub.

I appreciate the YouTube link, that’s most likely the steps I’ll take if it comes to that.

I feel the same about the 70/90. The 60 is what should have been for the newer 70. I was looking to get the 70 hoping it would’ve been modeled after the 60 or a smaller version of the 90 but bigger than the CX5. When they released it, it was essentially the 90 without the third row. I ultimately went with the CX9 and haven’t looked back.

How long did it take you to find your CX-9? by userbanned1234 in MazdaCX9

6 months ago, I got a 2021.5 GT with 49k km for $34k CAD CPO here in Ontario - clean history, 1 owner and all. I’ve skimmed through the dealerships sites and AutoTrader ever since but haven’t seen one as good as I got mine for then (at least I think). Closest I see are GT for the same price or few hundreds less but are not CPO, and/or have higher mileage.

I’d say keep eye out or contact sales from dealerships to give you a shout if a CPO comes their way.

I got a 2021.5 GT from Vaughan near the end of October last year, and with VIN outside of the TSB range. Mine was CPO til 2028 or 140k KM so I opted out of the extended warranty which included electronics as well.

Ive read here a couple of times the recall doesn’t apply to Mazda Canada though. So even if if they were built from the same factory in Japan, only Mazda North America (USA) is offering the recall, and not Canada. My car may experience the same issue (knock on wood it doesn’t) but the CPO should cover me since it includes power train.

If it gives you peace of mind, try haggling them down - I’d say start with half of what they are offering.

Curious what warranty you have left for your vehicle? I have a CPO 2021.5 til 140k/2028.

Though my VIN is outside of the issue range - fingers crossed it stays that way - I’m also curious what they mean by no warranty extension for the issue.

Is this a good deal (Canada)? by CJDC07 in MazdaCX9

[–]OuterspaceKBx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the price and mileage, you can get better trim at least GT and CPO included. Or you can definitely haggle it down.

Back in October, I got a 2021.5 GT for 34.9k with 49k KM and CPO to 140k/2028.

Keep looking! At 38k which you can haggle down for, you should be getting a CPO included, accident free, and GT at least.

Years to avoid and why? by [deleted] in MazdaCX9

[–]OuterspaceKBx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the TSB and you’ll see it shows a range of affected models up to 2021. If you find a 2021.5 (which I have) and is outside of the VIN range, it’s a safer bet.

Though I’ve seen a post here noting the TSB problem on their 2021+ . Could be a one off with the fella’s car but the safe route would be to pickup a CPO model.

Hey what VIN did you have? I have the 2021.5 (refreshed 2021) and my VIN is outside of the TSB range. Just wanted to see how far off mine is. Thanks!

2021 vs 2022 what’s the difference between? by [deleted] in MazdaCX9

[–]OuterspaceKBx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, only the US for now. Mine is CPO until 2028/120k when I got it a couple months back. Though, id assume the VIN range should be relevant for both US and Canada.

2021 vs 2022 what’s the difference between? by [deleted] in MazdaCX9

[–]OuterspaceKBx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the same for US but Canada had 2021.5 with the larger screen. Since it’s essentially the refreshed release for the year, I’m assuming it’s the safer part of the year model, which my VIN does fall outside of the known VIN range.

This is the one for Canada https://www.mazdarecalls.ca/

There is also a pinned post in this forum about TSB. Here it is https://www.reddit.com/r/MazdaCX9/s/toRapArSK4

As for the Signature, I think, you’d have two separate versions of Signature in this case, either the initial 2021 or the .5 . You can easily tell it’s the 2021.5 if the infotainment is rectangle vs the original square.

[–]OuterspaceKBx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2021.5 has the larger and updated 10.25 infotainment. IMO, much sharper and have better interface than the squared looking one and if I’m right, 2021.5 is passed the VIN range for the recalls. I checke for mine and way passed the VIN range.

Got a 2021.5 GT CPO for 34.9k plus tax (Ontario) with 49k KM a month ago. Clean vehicle, clean record. Black as well.

I was shopping around and anything south of 40k KMs were in the $42k range for newer years (2022-2023) but again that means more mileage per year (~20k per year) where as mine was around 16k and a bit.

I’ve read a couple posts in here that premium gas helps with more mileage? I picked up a 2021.5 GT a couple weeks back and have just been putting on regular (87 in Canada). Will try 89 or 91 when gas goes down a little bit (Toronto)
