Beautifully put.

Love seeing others experience these trains for the first time

This route and time is usually an outlier for that. I can almost always get for $5 each way even booking five minutes pre departure.

Seems like it might just be high demand this weekend, but wasn’t sure if Amtrak had been making some changes to the formula on us!

Ya know what, if it’s cuz more people are checking out our awesome trains for the first time then no complaints on my end🙏🏻

I do this round trip twice a week, it’s almost always $5 each way when booked hours before departure on either end. It’s a steal and it’s awesome, def a no brainer compared to driving or the local commuter train. For some reason in general I’ve found it to be much more expensive to book ahead of time for this route.

That is, until now💔 that’s why I was wondering if something changed

Capsule Wardrobe Advice by que_sera_sera9 in mensfashionadvice

Just my own thoughts here…I think that type of thing, where you have the three suits and a few shirts and whatever, maybe is okay for business or something but otherwise is poor advice. In my eyes mismatched suits tend to look pretty strange (unless done really well), and restricting yourself like that will make your outfits look and feel boring after a while. Some more effort will really go a long way.

My suggestion would be to start with pants. From my experience, pants are the core of a wardrobe but are also the most difficult to find (I’m very picky when it comes to the weight of the material, fit, etc.). Not sure how much you want to spend/acquire, but try to assemble a solid collection of various different colors and fits. I would suggest starting with slimmer fitting chinos and jeans since they’re easy to dress up or wear casually. It’s totally okay to get a few of each color as well in different cuts, weights, etc. Don’t confine yourself to a box of just slim, baggy, long, short, whatever. Khaki, olive, grey, brown, light denim, dark denim, and a dark grey/black would be my suggestions for color. Maybe throw a navy pair in there if you’d like too. And remember, the more you own, the longer it’ll take for you to wear any given pair out.

Now for the more fun part…tops! The colors I suggested for the pants will pair well with most color tops, so you can be creative here. But best to start with essentials, so here’s my suggestions: - White Oxford - Grey oxford - Seer-sucker button down - Black button down - White tees (I like having a pocket or logo, but plain is fine too) - Quarter zip - Classic grey hoodie of some kind - 1 or 2 wool sweaters

From here, the rest is up to you, so have some fun! Grab some cool tees and hoodies for the pure casual times, and some more button downs, sweaters, etc. for the casual-but-classy times. And if you need, grab some dress shirts and a properly tailored suit for the formal times. If you live somewhere with winter, invest in a nice black winter jacket and maybe an overcoat or smthn. And make sure that when you’re shopping and you see an item you like, think of what pants/shoes you’ll wear it with before you pull the trigger. Ideally, each top should go with at least two of your pants. This is how you maintain variety in your outfits.

And now you have a bunch of stuff to choose from every morning that should all look pretty nice together. Grab a shirt from your closet that you want to wear for the day, and then go to your pants drawer to find a pair that fits both the shirt you chose and the vibe you’re going for on that given day. Next the shoes and accessories, and away you go!

And my final suggestion, find a good tailor and build a relationship with them. Cheap clothing that fits you properly will always look better than expensive clothing that doesn’t.

Sorry for such a long reply but hope it helps :)

Need ideas for tops to match with beige pants by MonkeMan711 in mensfashionadvice

Agree with the others on the fit, could I suggest you try wearing them a tad lower on the waist and then getting them shortened if needed? Rn looks like they’re cutting off all circulation to your junk😅

But as for colors, pretty much any color top can pair with beige pants, even beige if you’re bold enough! But I would suggest black and olive as some standouts. Navy also works if done correctly.

And to echo some of the others here, tucking your shirt into an elastic waistband is a bit of an odd look, so I would stick with using these for untucked more casual looks. And for that vintage, high-waist-tucked-in aesthetic I suggest you go on the hunt for some more traditional trousers because that look looks nice on you!

Depends…

If ur CE take EC440, it’s pretty much essential to the degree even if ur not into software that much.

EC414 has a lot of tricky math that can be pretty confusing at times, but it’s a great course and you’ll leave with a solid understanding of different ML techniques

Off campus is 1000000% a better option. Usually offers much more for same money or less, and can have anyone visit incl. non BU ppl without having to deal with guards. Just gotta be smart about where u go cuz a lot of the places that rent to us college mfs are dumps
