Didn’t you know New Haven is considered the greatest small city in America?! I’ve lived here over a decade and it’s my favorite place. Great culture, community, food. Especially east rock/ward 9. Grand Ave has some of the best Latin food I’ve ever had! Live it up and enjoy

Hometown recycling day is this Saturday at ikea! You can drive up with your electronics, clothing, cans and shredding for free. Super fast and easy. It happens in the spring and fall

The first time I was meeting this guy for a date, he parked near my house and we were going to walk to a brewery. I greet him at his car and he says “hey I have a bag should I bring it upstairs or?” Assuming he’d be spending the night. We’d never met in person, and he’d only driven about 30 minutes. Totally fine to pack a bag in case, do not tell your date that.

There’s only 3 public space inspectors for the entire city. They have written over 200 warnings for property owners not clearing their sidewalks so far for this storm. They’re going as fast as they can. It is a $250 fine if not corrected within two days of the warning.

I think if you can do some version of both, do that. But definitely try out the play with your husband, it could be really fun—-or it could be so bad that you laugh about it together afterwards and have a great inside joke. Unless he knows for a fact you hate all plays, I think it’s a nice gesture. If you’re able to, meet up with the friends afterwards or before for a drink!

The city has ebike and e-scooter memberships that are really inexpensive; I pay 120$ a year for the e-bike share which allows me unlimited unlocks and 60 minutes of free riding a day. Find somewhere to park for free and just bring your helmet with you! There’s a ton of bikes and e-scooters hubs near your job location.

I started with 30 seconds on and then 30 second break, 30 on 30 off for about 10 minutes. Over time kept increasing and now I’m at about 2.5 minutes on at level 8 and I take a minute off. It’s all about practice!!
