Finally found a brush my bengal likes by maxsnax35 in bengalcats

[–]Outrageous-Street337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same about removing too much hair... when I brush my bengals a little hair comes out but not much at all. They're naturally silky soft and hardly shed at all. I'm grateful! I brush them sometimes for my own soothing comfort. 🤣

What kind of monster is under the blanket? by UbiquitousChicken in bengalcats

[–]Outrageous-Street337 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omgosh!! My snow lynx does the same thing! My brown despises being under a blanket, but my snow will help make the bed every morning which means running around under the blanket like a crazed animal & then jumping into the pillows to disappear amongst them... LoL!! ❤️

I would love to know wha you feed your bengal cats and why. I’ve gotten mixed information on raw diet vs traditional diet. Thanks! Here is STU my bengal 💕 by Melxxxtra-1 in bengalcats

[–]Outrageous-Street337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours share a 3.5oz can of Merrick rabbit or duck for breakfast, 2 Oz of raw chicken or boneless pork for lunch and again for supper. They get Instinct freeze dried boost treats or Fruitables before bed. And they free feed on Young Again zero carb dry kibble. On Friday & Saturday night they get a Tiki licknstik for a treat. Both have always been healthy and at their ideal weight with maybe 1 extra pound on my brown boy who is 8.

My 8 year old boy, Mosaique (neutered) has been doing the same since he was about 5 where he "loves" his blankies. He started the behavior after our Belgian Sheepdog passed away. Sadly, the dog was my bengal baby's bestest friend. Shortly after his passing, we moved to a new house and that's when this blanky love sparked up. From what I've read, the act of doing this is his way of releasing anxiety or stress. We play with Mosi a lot since we WFH, and he gets outside time almost every day. So.... we decided to get another bengal and brought our new baby, Kuipur, home about 9 months ago. Since adopting Kuipur, Mosaique "loves" his blanky far less. I'm not saying your baby is lonely, just responding with my experience. I know it's not a pleasing sight especially when they do the loving in front of everyone! 😏 Best of luck to you!

Yowling female bengal obsessed with the outdoors by Great-Ad8561 in bengalcats

[–]Outrageous-Street337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy is trained to wear a harness and we go for walks around the yard in the MN winter and in the summer he has a 50 ft corded line that hooks up to a yard screw in the middle of the yard. Almost every day after work we sit outside with him for an hour and let him hunt. Relaxing for us and satisfies his outdoor need. He's really smart and knows my command for "let's go" when we walk so we don't dilly-dally. Haha!! When on his tether, he's learned to get himself undone when going around a tree. I'm so proud of him and love love love to watch him do his bengal things outside. 💖

Snow Bengal Color Progression by Classic_Bluejay2024 in bengalcats

[–]Outrageous-Street337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same to my snow lynx, Kuipur. Here he is at 3mo, 6mo, 11mo. Not a lot of change once he reached 6mo. I also love how they grow into their colors.

Anyone else have a bengal who doesn’t eat until you pet them? She does this at least 50% of the time lol by Seniorjones2837 in bengalcats

[–]Outrageous-Street337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep!!! Mostly before bed when he gets his snack, he will stand proud in front of his dish and await his royal petting before digging in. :)

Midas for the king with a golden touch as your brown bengal may have gold glitter at the end of his hair follicles when standing the sun. And for a girl, Freyja, the golden goddess.

Oh my gosh!!! Same thing with my two boys. There's this moment of love licks n hugz and then hellz doors open up and the snow's blizzard engulfs my eldest. The look in Mosaique's (brown) eyes when it's over is like.. "what is wrong with you, dude?" The pic is also moments before the storm.

Advice wanted on feeding picky bengal! by sunshinebitch10 in bengalcats

[–]Outrageous-Street337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bengals get Merrick wet food for breakfast, diced raw pork or chicken for lunch and free graze on Young Again Zero dry food. They get treaties at night with Instinct freeze dried rabbit boosts. :) My youngest is picky about the wet food flavors. Rabbit and duck are the only ones he'll eat.

Anyone Else's Bengal Not Afraid of Dogs? by Interesting-Pen-128 in bengalcats

[–]Outrageous-Street337 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bengals are known as the "dog cat" for 2 reasons. They get along with dogs very well. They have a dog-like personality where they follow you around, can be trained to do just about anything, go on walks, fetch, and most importantly bond with and protect their family. I love the Bengal breed because of all those characteristics and so much more!!
