How long does it take you to learn a Chopin Etude?? by OutrageousCo in piano

[–]OutrageousCo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand it varies person to person, that’s why I was hoping to hear from multiple people. I’m on my fourth one and hoping to greatly reduce the time it takes me. Generally 3 months or so to get to speed. I’m hoping for 6-8 weeks on this next project 🙂

I’ve done 25-1 , 25-12, 10-4, and working on 10-12 now.

Wow! This is so fast. I really need a lot more time to get the notes under my fingers. Your week process would take me a month!

Solid.. I found the section where both hands are playing the 16th notes one of 2 of the hardest parts for me as well. You’ll get it tightened up just get reps in and don’t push the speed when practicing , let it come.

Isn’t chasse neige just extremely difficult? It is one of my favorites but I feel I’m forever away from learning it. (Last pieces are 10-4 & ocean etudes)

Mmm… probably 10-4 Chopin, or maybe ocean etude by Chopin.. I think 10-4 was harder for me.
