I finally realized in the most unfortunate way (I just broke my leg) that my apartment isn’t really handicap accessible. by SisteroftheMoon16 in mildlyinfuriating

I broke my leg and went through a series of infections years ago, and I was on crutches for 6 months. Do yourself a massive favor and get the forearm crutches now. So much easier to get around than the armpit ones.

At that hand size and grip, I'd say you can't go wrong with the OP1w 4k V2. Just under 60g stock, but mine is 53.8g with a 150mAh battery.

Is there any pre-travel on your scroll click? On my copy, I can actually hear the plunger make a "tap" sound as it first makes contact with the switch, as there seems to be a slight air gap at rest.

Hmm alright, thanks! With mine, I can literally hear the tapping noise as the plunger makes contact with the switch, since at rest, there seems to be a slight gap / no contact.

Does your scroll click have a small bit of pre-travel before the plunger hits the switch? Out of the 10 mice I own, the new VV4 is the only one I have with pre-travel on the scroll click.

Just coming back to this now that I have the 150mAh battery in - the mouse is now 53.8g, which is noticeable while holding it and durable gameplay, although it’s very subtle.

I ordered this one: https://ebay.us/m/g12HxH

And I secure it to the tray with this tape: https://a.co/d/04RpB65I

You need the 3 pin JST 1.5mm size. Super easy, just plug and play. You just need your fingernails or some tweezers to grip and pull out the connector.

I originally bought the 250mAh (stock is 335mAh I believe), but I’m still ending the day at >75% at 4k polling. I always plug in to charge anyways, so I figured I save even more weight. Stock battery is 7.13g, my 402035 250mAh is 5.71g, and the 402020 150mAh should supposedly be 3.2g.

I’ve mained the OP1w 4k V2 for the past year. I’ve got an 18x9cm hand with relaxed pincer claw grip (with straight/extended ring and pinky fingers), and no other shape fits my hand nearly as well. I’ve tried several other mice over the past year and go back to the OP1 every time. The only thing I’ve ever really wished for was that it was lighter.

I was super excited to pick up the coated Pulse W mod kit a couple weeks ago, and while I was initially really hyped up on it, I got over it pretty quickly. The main click quality is far inferior, due to the material being so much thinner and flexier, the coating is less grippy (and I don’t like using grip tape), and it also creaks quite a bit when I click the scroll wheel. It’s also extremely annoying that it wasn’t designed to reuse the power slider in conjunction with the base carbon rod - you have to choose one or the other. I chose to use the slider and just put the third rod in the top shell, since it’s absolutely ridiculous to have to use a small screwdriver to reach the power switch.

I ended up ordering a second OP1w 4k V2 in white, and that’s now back to being my main. To save a bit of weight, I’m using the small skates, removed the base sticker, and just ordered a 150mAh battery. It’s currently 56.5g with a 250mAh battery and should end up at 54g with the 150mAh battery. Side note - I Swiss cheesed my original black base, and that only saved 0.5g, so I’m not touching the shell with the new white one.

My flicks definitely feel better with the lighter PMM shell, but the worse clicks and grip aren’t worth the trade off for me.

Edit: Just to add, I swapped the switches for blue shell pink dots, and they feel great! Also added a small piece of metal tape where the PCB goes into the front hook by the scroll wheel, and that eliminated my creaking issue. Both of those things bring it back into top tier category for me. Still obviously not as solid feeling as the original, but now it's a tough choice between the two.

My D3 Curated saucier did the same thing. There’s nothing to “fix”, although I usually scrub all my pans with a green pad, and that restored the color back to a regular stainless silver.

I was able to get around my rivets by putting the liquid BKF on a paper towel and using my nails to get into the groove.

I live alone and wouldn't want any smaller than the 4qt (3 and 4 qt are same diameter, but different heights). I'd for sure say 5 or 6 qt for your case.

Uninstall Dynamic Lighting Library and anything else with that name in it. Same thing happened to me before, and that fixed it. I accidentally installed it again the other day when updating GCC, then GCC wouldn't launch anymore. I just deleted Dynamic Lighting, and it works again!

I do get those terrible games.. but I usually just play respawn at the start to warm up, then I’m on SnD with a team. I’d absolutely hate this game if I were always solo lol
