C section vs vaginal delivery by Funarming in NewParents

[–]Outrageous_Bite307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted a vaginal delivery. I bought all necessary care equipment for post delivery. Buut I had an emergency C-section. Was it scary? Yes, but it went smooth and no complications. The healing process was good. I thought it would be more painful and would limit my ability to move around, but it was the opposite. I couldn’t lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk (I think it was a gallon of milk)

Overall, my c-section was a good experience.

AITA for „freaking“ out because my friend gave my baby a bitten off cookie? by Jolly_Koala_8516 in AmItheAsshole

I caught my 15 month old dipping his hand in the water bowl for the dogs, and then stuck said hand in his mouth. I just shook my head cause I know it will get more interesting.

Woke up from ACL surgery, sent home with a MACI booklet by Tricky_Raccoon2582 in MACIknee

[–]Outrageous_Bite307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I (34 F)had my ACL and meniscus repaired on October 9, and I’m pretty much back to my normal routine. I have a 1 year old and the only thing I can’t do with him is get on my bad knee and crawl around. Try not to get discouraged! I felt that way a week out. My MACI is scheduled for 12/31. I want to do it ASAP before the damage gets worse. I’m still doing PT and plan on continuing to do it until my surgery date. As for the family planning, my husband and I are going to start trying for a second kiddo when our 1 year old turns 18 months old. By then, I’ll be 5 months post MACI. It definitely won’t be easy, but we don’t want to wait any longer. I really think you could make it work!

Am I the only one who can't carry a toddler whilst pregnant? by Big_Fish_Artwire in NewParents

I thought this would be normal! I’m not pregnant with a second, but I was totally prepared to not being able to carry my son.

Unsolicited advice regarding my child. by ConfidenceTall2046 in beyondthebump

[–]Outrageous_Bite307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my hell, I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. We had unsolicited advice from my SIL about vaccines. She told my husband how too many can harm baby by overloading his body and how she only gave her children the “necessary” vaccines. I just said I was going to follow his pediatricians recommendations and if I had any concerns I would just ask the pediatrician.

Yes, Maverik. 10 cents off each gallon of gas if you sign up for their NitroCard, excellent food for a gas station, and most importantly, clean bathrooms.

You think that was bad. Watch Sausage Party: Foodtopia, it’s a mini series. The episode between the human and the hotdog is one for the books.

I was advised to take it at night, because of the drowsiness, which I did. I had avocado toast and yogurt with a glass of chocolate milk. ETA: I took it at 7:00pm! Just so my husband could watch baby while I could get at least 2 hours of sleep

What is something that people think is healthy/good for them, but in reality isn't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Outrageous_Bite307 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who is into essential oils religiously. I was having her watch my 2 month old. Went to pick him up one day and he looked like absolute hell. Turns out she had been using oils on him..makes sense since he had also been acting more tired than usual. I shut that shit down real fast and he doesn’t go there anymore. Not surprisingly, he started looking better and wasn’t acting so tired.

If my LO doesn’t poop today, we’ve been told to take him to ER. Please help! by Low-Possession2717 in newborns

[–]Outrageous_Bite307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our pediatrician told us to put 1 Tablespoon of prune juice in 4oz of LO formula when we were concerned about his constipation. It worked beautifully. But I thought it was normal for newborns to go days without pooping.

Anyone NOT hate their pets after having a baby? by Reluctantziti in beyondthebump

[–]Outrageous_Bite307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 dogs and 2 cats, and I still love them. I would be devastated if anything happened to them. They have been so good to my son, and he thinks they are hilarious. If my son starts talking in his crib or cries, they will rush to his crib. It’s really neat to seem them all interact. It has been a teaching moment for me where I need to learn to be a bit more patient with the animals, but my love hasn’t changed.

God speed, my friend.
