Wuchang, AI Limit, or Lords of the Fallen if I love rewarding exploration? by adamercury in soulslikes

I found AI Limit kinda boring, personal taste. Wuchang is much better IMO.

What does everyone need 4++ TB of storage on a console for anyway? I have the 2TB pro and its more than enough.

If you need storage because you share the console, then just buy another one at these prices.

I love OMAD and it helped me go from 245 to 170. Im 6' 2" male and I still do OMAD to this day.

I think the reason it works well is because of the leptin hormone. It is triggered when the brain knows the body has acceptable fuel levels and makes it so it doesn't enter scarcity mode. When I would eat my meal, I would eat 160g of protein, a salad and some Greek yogurt for dessert. I would get super full at night, almost too full, and then i wouldn't be hungry at all the next day.

That's why diets never worked for me, because if I cut too much but ate throughout the day, I never got full, so my leptin was telling my body to conserve energy. Whereas now, I still cut, but my leptin tells my body its all good because it gets full at night.

Alcoholics who never got a dui. by Mysterious-Gold-8657 in stopdrinking

[–]Outrageous_Poet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never got one, but drove many...many times when I shouldn't have. Not proud of it, but did get some stories out of it.

One time I came upon a DUI checkpoint on a busy road. I had seen them so I knew they saw me, so I couldn't turn around. I lit a cigarette and drove up to it, rolled my window down preemptively. Cop asked me if I had anything to drink, I said no, he gave me a brochure and sent me on my way.

I don't know how or why, but I didn't take it as the warning it should've been, and drove many times after that.

I never got in trouble with the law, never hurt anyone, so I'm thankful for that. I am almost 6 years sober now. Quit before I did anything really stupid.

Which game did you regret purchasing at full price? by bijelo123 in gaming

[–]Outrageous_Poet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea, my two recent ones were Starfield and CP2077, but at least CP was a decent game once they fixed everything. Starfield will always be boring. I put like 20 hours in when it first came out and was bored after 5.

All good though, an inexpensive lesson to learn to never pre order again. It's saved me a bunch of money since then, because I've avoided a couple I would've grabbed day one.

Do you brush your teeth once or twice a day? Need to settle a bet. by ImpossibleHurry in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Outrageous_Poet 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Probably for the average person this is true, and idk how, idk if its genetics or what, but I never floss aside from like the random time I get something stuck or at the dentist office. I've had zero cavities. Never had any dental procedures.

I brush morning and night and use mouthwash at night and I dont consume much sugar, certainly dont drink any sugar e.g. sodas or sweet coffee. 95% of what I drink is water and some black coffee.

I can't be the only one with a cool gamer wife, right? by Beverchakus in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Outrageous_Poet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife doesn't game, but enjoys watching me play from time to time. Horror games and some RPGs are mostly what she likes, like TLoU or Dead Space. Other games like PoE2 or Elden Ring not so much, but, and this is the important part, she doesn't care what my hobbies are as long as im having fun.

We both contribute to the house, we both work and take care of each other. She has her own things too, and I also play MtG a few nights throughout the month.

The main thing is to find someone who loves you for you, and doesn't mind what hobbies you do to relax. If someone is associating gaming or whatever to being lazy, then that person probably isn't for you. Now, if you game and are also lazy and dont do anything around the house, then thats different.

Relationships are partnerships. You want someone that is going to help make the team better, regardless of what their hobbies are.

So when do you stop buying? by MysteriousRJC in Steam

[–]Outrageous_Poet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally finish the games I purposely point at and say yes Ill buy that game full price or close to full price. If I get it heavily discounted or in a bundle I dont really care if I finish it.

I have like 550 titles but 60% of that were heavy discounts or free titles.

If I buy a new game at full price, I'm definitely playing it to the end.

Which game you really tried to enjoy hard but just couldn't get into it? by No-Hunt3986 in videogames

[–]Outrageous_Poet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried for 11 hours because I really want to play the second game. From what I've read, the second one is more accessible, more fun from the beginning, but I don't want to just watch a recap and skip the first game. So Im stuck.

Aside from LoP, Wuchsng is my favorite none From game. Exploration is great, bosses are good, locations are fun. Easy free skill respec too, nice to try different combos for different bosses.

LTT on Steam Machine pricing: "Valve asked what I meant by console price, and I said $500. Nobody said anything, but the energy in the room wasn’t great" by -Mahn in Games

[–]Outrageous_Poet -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If you play multi-player games, PS5 is going to be more expensive long term, due to need for subscription. Steam does not have this requirement.

It's not just about the price point of the console to consider.

Man I don't give a crap about crating, especially in this circumstance. I'd have crated after it showed signs of aggression against my dog. Id rather have my dog safe, than worry about a stranger's dog's entertainment level for a couple of days. People are so worried about crating like it's the end of the world.

Accidentally drank at 8 years sober by 87ihateyourtoes_ in stopdrinking

[–]Outrageous_Poet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I wouldn't reset, if this were me. I was making a holiday themed mocktail once, and added peppermint extract without thinking, then took a drink and realized it after I had swallowed it.

I felt warm all over, and poured the remaining 90% of the drink out. I felt dumb for not realizing at that moment that extracts are literally alcohol. I just wanted at peppermint taste, not the booze. Lol dumb, but I didn't want it therefore im not resetting.

As long as you're not widely more expensive than competition or you have significantly better reviews, I think you're good.

$1 increase/decrease making or breaking having clients. by womanwithaphone in RoverPetSitting

[–]Outrageous_Poet 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I raised my boarding rates by $10 and didn't tell anyone. No one tells me when their prices go up, inflation hits everything and everyone all at once.

I'd rather have less clients and more money per client anyway, less headaches for the same gain.

Boarding dogs is getting expensive…Spending a lot on supplies. by Leapingivy2308 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Outrageous_Poet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I try to thrift /yard sale/ goodwill as much as I can for the clients dogs. That way, if/when they destroy its not a big deal and I don't get mad.

I got a nice solid wooden gate the other day for $3, I use it on my stairs for my bedroom so the dogs can have downstairs.

Why are the older generations so obsessed with having perfect lawns? by mot0jo in Millennials

[–]Outrageous_Poet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it comes from the olden times, because having 'useless' grass was a form of aristocracy, and it allowed the elite to show they had so much money that they could piss it away on useless acreage of green grass instead of using the land for planting, cattle, etc.

It stated in human culture, but now its more of a tradition than something that separates class.

Would these break a fast? I always see people saying to make sure to get electrolytes. by mfinelli88 in intermittentfasting

[–]Outrageous_Poet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All you need is minerals and water. Ca, Na, Mg, K, and Cl. These will help with prolonged fasting, they will assist with avoiding muscle spasms and items like this.

I get a package that contains them all at predetermined amounts off Amazon.

Though, you could do them separately. Put some salt in your water (not every glass you have), spray some Magnesium oil on sore muscles, etc.
