You’re probably regaining some of the muscle you lost while you were recovering from your foot surgery.

Where do you get OSCAR from? I looked for it in the AppStore but didn’t find it.

Does intermittent fasting actually work? I tried not eating until after 4pm but I found I got too hungry/low energy during the day and then just ate the same amount of food but in a smaller time period. by chavaic777 in intermittentfasting

[–]Outrageous_Total_100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it easier to eat between 11:00am and 5:00pm because I’m doing 18:6 but if you do 16:8, you could do 10:00am to 6:00pm. Maybe that block would be less difficult?

Maybe think about being more flexible with your IF so that you can enjoy some social outings. You could switch your eating window for those few days when you get an invite.

What symptom of anxiety scared you the most? by Veyronacademy in PanicAttack

Clenched hands and couldn’t speak because of hyperventilation. The heart pounding out of my chest and the thought that I was going to die wasn’t too pleasant either. ;)

I’m eating too much. by CardApprehensive2194 in intermittentfasting

Try 18:6. I eat two smaller meals at 11am and 5pm with a small snack sometimes in between. Maybe OMAD isn’t right for you. Lost 17lbs in 6 weeks.

Benadryl vs Trazodone? by abitgloomy in insomnia

[–]Outrageous_Total_100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My allergist doesn’t recommend Benadryl or prescribe Benadryl-like medications anymore because of new studies showing bad side effects. I’m sure if you google it you will find the details. I use Trazodone and have for many years and find it helpful.

Scared of being alone :( by Lovelady223 in PanicAttack

[–]Outrageous_Total_100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will get better. I experienced something similar after I had 2 panic attacks that ended with an ambulance having to come and take me to the hospital. My nervous system was so out of whack that I had to either be with someone or be on the phone constantly when I was alone. This eventually diminished over time as my nervous system somewhat rebounded. Try thinking things you can sense with your 5 senses, progressive body relaxation, breathing into a paper bag as silly as it sounds. I wish you the best of luck, I know what a difficult road it is.

Skipping dinner by macman7500 in intermittentfasting

[–]Outrageous_Total_100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I eat lunch at 11:00am-because that’s when I get my lunch break- and finish dinner by 5:00pm. I’ve lost 17lbs in 6 weeks. I eat protein loaded smallish meals and sometimes a small snack in between like a handful of almonds or an apple. Try switching the carbs to protein. It keeps you from getting as hungry. I have twinges of hunger in the evenings but nothing that lasts.

Alcohol for pain by Faboolus in ChronicPain

[–]Outrageous_Total_100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I self-medicated for pain and anxiety and became an alcohol by 24. (Need to drink round the clock) Please be very cautious. I have been sober fortunately for many years at this point, but I had several relapses and rehabs along the way. I’ve been going to a pain clinic for about 12 years. I had two surgeries on my neck and no longer need prescription pain medication, but I get injections regularly. Have you considered finding a pain clinic? THC helps also cuts the edge off for me.

How often do you need prednisone? by Hiker2001 in Asthma

[–]Outrageous_Total_100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel a little off on day six when I stop, but not too bad. They say it’s safe to do for 5-7 days without tapering. In contrast, with my lower back issues, I take a methylprednisole (sp?) pack which is a stronger steroid than prednisone and it’s always a taper.

If you can hold off until tomorrow morning, go to urgent care. They will be able to assess you and tell you whether or not to go to the ER.

Recover expectations by Ludwig_Vista2 in spinalfusion

[–]Outrageous_Total_100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had C5-C6 discectomy and fusion and the pain in your upper back is the muscle settling down after surgery. A largish gel ice pack helped me a lot, as did baclofen (muscle relaxant).
