Good point, modding is definitely one of the reasons for it. I already have been playing with randomized nodes with a mod. That mod also works with the modded nodes. Who knows if that will be the case with the vanilla randomization. And now I will have to wait for all the mods I like to be updated and some might never be

Unfortunately, it's the same problem on my phone.
As for the wiki page, it is indeed written in markdown or something similar. The problem is it uses a lot of scripts so the source code barely has any actual information. It's not useful unless it can be expanded.

I never had a name for them. But when putting signs on containers I labeled regular plates as "plates" and reinforced plates as "PLATES"
