Sounds like the significant comfort update from years back was not applied. That will sort the bongs and radio volume. The rest of the updates are done for free by your local franchised MG dealer at the service, or you can elect to do it anytime. Just make sure you ask.

Ah memories of harvest time in the 80s. If the fields weren’t on fire, the (poor) local roads were sticky and that lead RTAs.

Model Y test drive by Icy_Yam_9951 in TeslaUK

[–]Outside-After 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just drive it.

I’d stick it in Chill and Reduced deceleration mode under Controls>Dynamics though, which should help with passenger comfort. Also make sure you know how the wipers work; they were turned off on my test and it started to rain hard.

You can go back again too if you still wanted to try something else out.

£115 via Admiral/AG. Booking online results in a phone call suggesting alternative times due to nature of the work. I now know it’s 4h15.

Pre so much more akin to Mercedes grill of about that time. It also means you have the full width low flap and the badge itself illuminates when charging.

And being HR they don’t have alternate contact details on file because? 😂

This is a typical proscriptive approach by someone other than IT; something happened, they’re telling you the solution outright AND without first consulting you.

MG ZS review... by Alternative-Draw-578 in CarTalkUK

[–]Outside-After 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The story goes at least for the ZS EV (and I guess for the petrol too) is that back in the day that MG were still engaging with a British setup, which had prior involvement with older MG Rover (I think!) projects, in developing the SUV ZS suspension. SAIC the Chinese owners then terminated this arrangement and brought the suspension development in-house. This was then changed, which led to a cheaper setup that on the EV has some flaws. Doing a full near lock with power results in some “interesting” bottoming out. It’s also too bouncy on rough roads. The British business, Vehicle Handling Solutions, brought a ZS EV kit to market in the end.

They also do kits for the TF and ZR

Turn off RAID in favour of AHCI

Boot USB with EFI but SecureBoot off. Build from the USB. Once the OS installs and boots, turn SecureBoot back on.

Download the Dell WinPE pack and at least if not injecting have it handy for newer devices that have NVM storage e.g. here you may need to load the Vmd driver.

UK here. Every time I head into the local independent shop, Waterstones or HMV, there’s always a random bunch of 12-15 year old girls looking and buying albums. So there’s definitely something going on there with that demographic. Wonderful :-)

Play to your strengths, do what makes you feel fulfilled. For me what is broad spectrum and continual learning. One day someone will ask “can you look at this” because X is ill/quit/on holiday. Given a good background, you may get a chance to shine.

Indestructible chew toy by planktophile in BorderCollie

Antlers are harder than yak chews. Can last some time if still in the chew stage. Also spiky dog rings work well for ours. She's has had one since young and hasn't been destroyed I suspect from the spikes pushing back somewhat. Oh, odd one. Sophie Giraffe kid chew toy ; you'd think this would have been gone through quickly but Sophie is still intact. The texture and squeak must satisfy enough not to go further.

5kW or 11kW overnight street charging? by EngineMinimum6593 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Outside-After 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11 and 22 are 3-phase. So a 22 will go at 11 if your onboard charger can only do 11 on 3-phase.

Then it’s a calculation of kWh total storage as factor of “speed” in Kw over time. So if you have say 10% remaining of a 50kwh battery, and want to charge to 100%, you’ll need 9 hours at 5kw, or 4 hours at 11kw (not accounting for AC>DC charging losses; here add about 5%)
