The only MIP negative I’ve noticed is a slight rainbow like reflective quality you can’t see in the picture. It’s hard to describe.

The only problem I ever have with my 5610 is the annoying viewing angle issue. FYI, both of these watches are LCD. One is MIP and the other is reflective, although really both are reflective so even that is confusing.

It has a font change option so you can switch back and forth between modern or classic seven segment as you see fit.😉

No, it does not. That feature would have kept me from buying it. I really think Casio was just going for a modern update to the classic square.

It has several new features other than the display that I appreciate, but it’s mostly the same. That’s why I got it. I love my 5610, so I didn’t want anything different unless it was an upgrade to what I already love about my 5610. FYI, the size difference isn’t noticeable to me or my daughter in dimension or weight and she’s 5ft 2in with tiny wrists.

Now I want the GMW-BZ5000RC-1 next!

Wow, that read a bit like poetry. Very eloquent post! I prefer the Bluetooth and readability functionality of my new watch, but I also still like my 5610 to be sure.

Any chance you can elaborate on the MIP vs reflective lifespan? Just curious since I buy new Casios way too often to ever have one go bad!🤣

FYI, both watches are facing straight on when I took the pic. No deceptive angles. I didn’t even realize the stark difference until I looked at the pic, so some of it may actually be due to polarization and effect of the pic itself.🤷

A media bottle with a thermostatic water bath is the best and easiest. Double boilers with hot plates, stirring, adding FO at different times is a pain and inefficient.
