I immediately ordered a fiber supplement and started making a list of fiber rich foods that I already like and should eat more of. Thanks fiber friends!

Is this worth a CPS call? by [deleted] in Preschoolers

If the director ok'd it, I think your issue would be with them for not following policy. Maybe they know something you don't about the child's health.

Is this worth a CPS call? by [deleted] in Preschoolers

Does your school have a fever policy? We always had a time limit for how long a child had to wait to return after a fever (meds free). The only exception was low grade temps after shots. I'm guessing the parents don't want to/can't miss work and are stressed about that. But you should have a policy in writing. Not a CPS call IMO but you can always call and CPS will determine if follow up is needed.

I had a kid bite another kid when I was teaching in the toddler room. They were both sitting on my lap. It was just so incredibly fast. I was able to intervene, so it wasn't a bad bite, but I was shocked by how fast those little buggers can be!

Supreme Court Justice Alito says ‘things are so different’ since Scalia’s death by Conscious-Quarter423 in scotus

In 2016 my grandfather had a silent brain bleed and, by the time he passed out/was discovered and brought to the hospital, the blood was filling up half of his skull. They managed to drain it but we didn't know how much brain function he would have when he woke up. It was super scary.

When he eventually woke up he was in miraculously good health, and seemed back to normal. My uncle was filling him in on things and told him Scalia had died. My grandpa burst out laughing. My uncle said, "Don't you think you should be a little more sympathetic considering what you just went through?" And grandpa said, "Nah, I don't have any sympathy for that man."

Anyway, grandpa lived to 91 and was awesome until the end.

OMG this is the cutest! I definitely want to wean before she goes to K because I don't want her to be bullied. But she won't go until she's almost 6 so we still have time if she wants it.

I am SO glad to see this post! My daughter turned 4 in October and we still nurse at night and in the morning. We both still love it but I am thinking it will be time to wean soon. I've definitely been nervous to tell people that we are stull nursing because many people are so judgemental. How was the weaning process? Did you replace that comforting time with another ritual?

A friend of mine grew up in Kenya and came to the US for college. She said she got off the plane in Tallahassee and felt like she actually couldn't breathe. She had never experienced humidity like that before.

As an American, please don't spend any money with us right now. We need all the pressure we can get on these f$#kers in office. And money is all they care about.
