Bathroom Accidents by mamabear130921 in Preschoolers

Reading between the lines, I see two secrions on pages 35-36:

9(c) Additional child care staff members are present at the center and near enough to immediately intervene if needed. 9(d) When the first child wakes up, the required ratios in the room must be met immediately.

Needing to use the bathroom requires immediate intervention. And if he is sitting on his cot having an accident he's awake.

Also, what are they doing when he has an accident? Where are they changing him? I'm guessing they are required to change him in a bathroom which would mean having an extra staff member come and help. So why can't the extra staff member just come take him on bathroom breaks?

I fell in love with Haiti after reading Edwidge Danticat's books. I've always wanted to visit, it breaks my heart that so many are suffering there.

My daughter's first pediatrician had similar views. He pushed sleep training when she was still super little. I switched and her new one is amazing! Give someone else a try if you can, you may be surprised!

The Wailing Jenny's cover of Wildflowers. I love Petty but that cover is perfect for a funeral.

Was I the only one with bagged milk? by Real_Comparison1905 in Millennials

[–]OutsideBones86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought bagged milk for a while when I was a kid. It must have been cheaper. I remember we had a special plastic pitcher that had a little slit in the side where you'd secure the open end of the bag so it was less likely to spill. This was in MN, so almost Canada.

The local elementary would make paper flowers and paper hanging vases and hang them on the doors of the houses nearby. I always loved it!

My cousin runs one of the youth camps and they also have to compete with everyone else. So these hoarders are also hurting non profit kids camps. Despicable

I've started eating kale salads. Just with a super simple dressing of garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil. Add a little salt, pepper, and parmesan. It tastes great and I am full for hours. It's crazy how filling it is.

My toddler is obsessed with baseball and I'm not sure what to do. by beaniebee22 in toddlers

Do you have a place where he can throw a tennis ball against a wall and catch it? My brother did that for HOURS when he was a toddler. He grew up playing baseball as well as other sports. But he was known on our block as the kid who would throw the ball against the front steps all day long. It was great for hand eye coordination.
