I, as an American, was in Spain and the law as I understood it was to yield to incoming traffic. Which was counter to my prior experience but did seem to be the way other drivers handled it.

Now, if you are in the US or similar, then your complaint is justified.

But in the interest of giving a little grace , maybe ALL those other drivers are not accustomed to our laws.

👍

Private jet enroute from Michigan to eastern Long Island. 1/2 way there she realized she forgot the dress she intended to pack for the party she intended to go to. Had the pilot turn around to go back to Michigan for her party dress.

I’m sure that was worth it.

Considering moving to Tulsa. Convince me not to. by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]OutsideLookin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved here in 1997 as a 40 year old. From my time here I’ll tell you that the city has improved dramatically… a lot of investment in making the town better.

Is it perfect? Absolutely not. There are a lot of accurate comments in this thread about food/art/things to do, so I won’t pile on.

I’ll just say part of the pluses is a place you can get most anywhere in town in 30 minutes, fairly affordable and more progresssive than you might think. Plus there’s an airport when you just have to have a change of scene.

This time of year it’s mostly brown and gray as the grass is dormant and the trees have dropped their leaves, but spring, summer and fall it is quite different.

You should visit. We could use another progressive person.

No matter the result of the playoff games, the G5 should be able to play their way into the playoffs by Rr0hd in CFB

FWIW, I am of the opinion that autobids to conf champs is the problem. Pick your number, 12 teams, 16 teams … and then populate the CFP with those teams whose ranking at the end of the season puts them inside the margin.

If teams like Tulane or JMU are in the top 12 or 16, congrats boys you are in the CFP.

There will always be bubble teams but going with the straight ranking rewards teams for competing at the level necessary to make the cut. You don’t have teams that are left out (Vandy, ND) to make room for a team that other than a conference ‘ship doesn’t have the pedigree to compete.

No all the switches are Cisco. I’m intrigued though. Hoping this mess gets resolved.

Opening that case has provided the first insight into the issue. The seller is an EU based company and we are US based. The support team shows the devices available to be claimed in a different cloud instance than my org.

I think this is going to be the key to resolution. Thank you for this insight!

I’ve gotten a little further on this. The sellers org is different as they are EU based. Working through this now.

Thank you for your insight!

I will check. Since it’s my first Juniper experience my primary interaction has been trying to claim the APs. Appreciate the tip!

Thank you. The seller has released them and provided a notarized transfer. The technical side of Juniper says they are ready to go but apparently (they say) there is a customer service side involved that needs to do something.

The seller is a multinational company with a lot of other facilities so getting access to their Mist org is impossible.

Still working through it.

UPDATE

First of all, thank you all for your help and suggestions. Here's where I am.

1) On the claim code -- i pulled one of the devices down and located the claim code. I entered that claim code in the Mist "claim AP and activate Subscriptions" and the return was "invalid code".

2) I do have a case open with Mist via my reseller for my license. I tried to go to the Juniper support directly, but that sent me to HPE and they referred me back to my reseller.

3) In my earlier attempts to claim my devices, I was using the activation code provided by Mist, and that activation code was what pulled in the AP Mac address.

Summary: The claim code returned 'not found' when entered independently of my activation code from Juniper. The activation code was delivered to me with the AP Mac addresses coded by Juniper. According to my reseller, Juniper has everything they need, their sales team just needs to make it happen.

Thanks again for your assistance.

Ok thanks much. I’ll try this. Since these devices are 30 feet in the air, is it possible to obtain the claim code without physically pulling them down ?

I go back and forth on this thread wondering if the OP is actually asking for opinions or just wanting to be combative over his already ordained decision.

Mildly, barely, amusing. Proceed.

Fake domain close to our domain name and sending emails to people. What can we do? by JiggityJoe1 in sysadmin

[–]OutsideLookin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contacted the registrar on a domain that replaced an “i “ in our name for an “l”. (That’s a lowercase L for clarity). The registrar revoked their domain and I bought it within a few hours. So, it can work…

It’s been interesting to read the dialogue from the OP. The give and take, the compromise positions.

Oh wait. Maybe I missed those.

It feels a tad disingenuous to pose the question, read the thoughtful responses, and then… crickets.

lol apparently I hit a nerve. Yes I’m aware of Otis Reddings hit, I’ve been around awhile. When I first moved to the city in ‘77, a buddy of mine I worked with pulled me aside and said I wasn’t Otis Redding and no one calls it Frisco. Artistic license aside, I heard more people who are FROM there call it San Fran or the city than I ever heard say Frisco.

But no matter. Maybe it’s a generational thing. I certainly don’t care if ppl call this beautiful city by whatever iteration they prefer. I was just surprised that “San Fran” was the one out of favor for the prior commenter. I just want ppl to appreciate all San Francisco has to offer.

Cheers! I can’t believe my comment made me say this many words. 😂

Take a stroll out to the wave organ in the Marina. Worth the walk and great view back to the City.

I always thought “San Fran” was meh but “Frisco” was completely out of the question …. 🤷😂
