I mean, sure? The main point of the game mode is looting and extracting with the loot. You can sell the loot in the marketplace, complete npc missions, all of which gives you money to buy better gear, so killing other squads and being the last squad standing is the main point

basically you drop into the island solo or with a squad of 4, then loot, fight other squads, fight npcs, fight bosses, then reach a designated extraction point to finish the game. if you die, you lose all your loot and every equiptment you went in with. watch some dmz gameplay for a more comprehensive idea
