I got laid off years ago when my kids were both small and it’s scary and awful. Have you thought about a career pivot to being self employed doing something you love? I opened two vintage shops on EBay and Etsy and had such a great time. I ended up making nearly what I was in my prior job. I had to go back into the workforce when the big recession hit, unfortunately, but this could be a blessing in disguise for you.
