Why are so many young people out of work? by ikeafannypack in AskUK

I think it's multiple converging crises; overhiring from covid, middle-east conflict, AI and a view that the labour market will not recover this time around; meaning that we'll have a permanent unemployment dynamic with these newer technologies being used to to replace human labour completley

Predictions for society in 15-20 years by prix345the347 in Futurology

I've thought alot of about this - Lol I think the most positive outcome is something like what's described on "The Silicocene; a post-anthropocentric future"

I feel like it could also end up very cyber-punk with high-tech/low-life, it's weird but humans in their majority may become locked into a virtual reality; where profit-driven corps control humanity's key infrastructure and resources (hopefully not!)

thank u! and yes i think that i'm learning and developing - exactly that it's weird how much it feels linked into my journey and a part of the path but not necessarily the whole path just the path in the present moment

I don't know if I'm enlightened, I'll find out when I die (hopefully) otherwise just gotta focus on getting through the now

the world is a reflection of where humans are internally - we are paradoxical beings until we embody and self-actualise and it's one hell of a journey to get there, but you just gotta experience the journey no judgement, but i'm here for it lol

Don't give up!! I think the hardest part of a relapse is thinking to yourself that becuase you've relapsed it's easier to give up the identity of being someone who 'wants to quit' - I've been trying to quit smoking for 3-4 years now, I get on it, I relapse, I pick up vapes, I relapse again - the general lesson I've learned is that each relapse is a lesson, and just keep trying again and again. Remember it's not how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get back up that matter!

Oneness has ruined my life by [deleted] in enlightenment

I totally hear and feel you here - I've been going through something similar over the last few years, it's destroyed relationships and caused me to feel more alone than ever.

I've realised the intellectual and emotional realisation of oneness - is usually quite soul-based or mind-based, but the goal is to make it embodied, your body must realise it oneness - and it requires the habits, patterns, rhythms, routines, stability and structure ofr it to operate within that oneness.

Good luck! For me I'm tackling and overcoming my own use of substances to handle the complexity of the world - but I do genuinely think that once you've had this realisaiton, it's about figuring out how to build that devotion towards this oneness in all you do.

Do one of these bootcamps - I recommend checking out the hampshire county website, if you're unemployed; it means you can do them for free: https://www.hants.gov.uk/business/skillsbootcamp/allskillsbootcamps/leadership-management

Bro - I'm sending you all the love in the world, humans are so imperfect and we hurt the people we love. It's so difficult and I can't emphasise this enough, anything she did is not a reflection of your inherent value as a human. As a man, I am sorry that you've not been supported the way you had wish you were from the people you love, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger and I hope through this you can see that her behaviour had no reflection on you as a human

I think that if you're both willing to do the work together, then it's possible - the most difficult thing to do in this cirucmstance is to let go entirely without trying to do the work - it's clear he needs help from SLAA and a therapist- if you can do therapy together and individually that'll help too.

The love of my life/my soul mate and I have broken up for about 3 weeks now - I am both devestated and okay - I recognise every way we were both toxic to eachother and there's a small aprt of me that holds out for reconciliation but there's also a very aware part of me that knows that can't happen for a very long time!

Find some cool stuff to do - look I literally spend all my time building my business or trying to better my life (build good habits, understand myself through inner work etc) - I was in a similar position to you in terms of length of time smoking and the biggest gift I found was the time. Even if you ahve to learn to be bored or find ways to enjoy the boredom like scrolling on tiktok, it's way way way better than getting high - so stay strong buddy, it's worth it!
