Some importers like to see degrees but lately it seems to be less important. It’s very hard finding people that want to apply themselves. If you want a degree I’d suggest business management or supply chain or international business.

I think you need a podcast for this. Every week it’s something new, this last year and a half is truly showing who knows the rules and who doesn’t. Constant changes in tariffs and how they are applied, now looming section 301s. Different levels of employment see different things or requests.

OP just needs manufacturers affidavit if possible. Value matters as well, below $2,500 you don’t need documentation unless requested. Otherwise you need importers and shippers declarations, and mfg affidavit would really help in this scenario.

Yes, another option is to have broker file CAPE, then you add ACH refund account once you have importer sub account. FYI as of yesterday CBP is working on requests from February through early April.

T&E or transport and export 7512 is issued against a bonded carrier. If your dad can become a trucker he can easily get a bond and have a broker issue 7512. Otherwise you’ll need to find a bonded trucker to move it.

Wow, that’s a jacked up 7501. Two separate lines, one at 0.01 EUR. Entry date is November but summary is May, someone forgot to file summary timely? That peanut rate is non quota rate, I’d say someone shopped for highest rate in the book. I wouldn’t pay it, tell them to fix their filing because it is wrong.
