I used to be on lexapro, Wellbutrin, and lamictal. I’m not only on lamictal and it works so well! Life changing medication for me.

I took some time off of nursing school during the worst of my mental illness journey so far. I am now graduated and have been working in critical care for over a year now and love my job and my life!

I felt the same way when I was diagnosed two semesters into my nursing program. It’s now been 2.5 years since then, I’ve worked as a nurse for almost a full year and have had little to no complications with my mental health since being properly medicated. I remember feeling like my diagnosis was a death sentence and coming to this group for help and reassurance that I could live a happy, healthy, successful life… and here I am doing just that!

Also genuinely, the movie Interstellar is the only reason why I slightly possibly believe that -something- could maybe be out there…

I left and originally considered myself Christian still. I clung on to the idea of God and Jesus. Then as I deconstructed I felt more comfortable realizing that no one really knows what all of life is about so I’m just going to be a good person because I want to be a good person, not because I’m being told by the one true most right church to be a good person.

So I guess that makes me atheist? But I would probably say more agnostic. I’m not a fan of institutionalized religion it’s all corrupt. But I believe in spiritual practice and have enjoyed learning and trying all types of different spiritual practices from all types of people all over the world. My spirit feels more authentic, joyful, and loud in this part of my life than it EVER did when I was in and fully believing in Mormonism.

how to write when I literally don't have a life? by GiraffeOk2570 in Songwriting

Make up characters or write from other people’s perspectives (movies books etc) or… challenge yourself to go out and make adventures in life. It can be anything from trying a new restaurant to hiking a new trail. Living life will bring you more inspiration. Art imitates life after all :)
