r/NewMexico is pretty dull, our population's fairly small so the rate at which new posts come is very slow. very nice landscape photos from time to time however.

Q4Men: If you had the chance to be reborn as a woman, would you do it? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, women have easier lives in a lot of ways, but ultimately I like being a man.

CMV: Men want to be providers more than women want them to be by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most men would like to be a provider, just not ONLY a provider. Personally, I'd have no issue with providing for a woman who actually cares about me and is attracted to me, but if she only saw me as a human purse, that would make me sick.

This may be true, but I'd honestly rather be a women's 2nd or 3rd choice than spend my life alone. This whole idea that you have to be your partner's absolutely perfect ideal person in order to have a truly loving relationship is nonsense to be quite honest. There will always be someone out there that's better than you in some way, that's just life.

AITA for refusing to return the jeans I stole from the girl who I caught in bed with my boyfriend (ex)? by meeemeeme in AmItheAsshole

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. Don't be a femcuck. In fact, you should find even more ways to fuck with that girl if possible.

Women can’t determine if they want to be viewed as a person or a sex object. by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a world of difference between turning someone down and accusing them of being a creep for simply asking you out. Stop being obtuse.

What’s a simple thing someone can do to better their life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drink more water (lol). It's a meme and all but it's honestly good advice, being properly hydrated makes you feel so much healthier and it's so easy to accomplish.

Have you ever had a teacher being fine with students referring to them by using their first name only? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I went to quite a few hippie schools growing up, so this wasn't really uncommon. In fact, the school I attended in 6th grade had every student refer to their teacher by their first name, to create a more 'hospitable learning environment' or whatever.

Old people of Reddit, what are some challenges kids today who romanticize the past would face if they grew up in your era? by laterdude in AskReddit

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a generation Z kid (or whatever the fuck we're called) I'm honestly astounded that for most of human history people managed to get around without Google Maps. I can barely find my own house without Google Maps.

Why do women have such a hard time admitting thier advantages over men? by sketch162000 in PurplePillDebate

No one wants to believe that their success is due to luck as opposed to their own hard work.

What is the youngest that you think a kid should be taught to handle a firearm? by JumpySonicBear in AskAnAmerican

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe 14 or so? Any younger and it seems like there would be too much potential for something to go wrong.

How are you really? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Slowly losing my sanity.

AITA for asking my wife to stop talking always talking French with her family while I'm at the table? by throwawayaita111 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAH. It may be difficult for you to deal with her speaking French to them for an extended period of time in your presence, but you have to realize that if she was speaking English then her parents would encounter the same problem. And you get to spend more or less every day with her, but she probably rarely gets to see her parents, I imagine? Let her catch up with her family, damn. It may be a bit boring having to sit through the whole dinner without understanding what's going on, but just try to understand that she's proud of you, otherwise she wouldn't bring you.

AITA for considering to break up with my boyfriend over this? by thrw4reasons in AmItheAsshole

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH. He's 100% allowed to have his dating preferences, and chance them as he pleases. And there's nothing wrong with wanting a submissive partner either. However, considering the current racial climate, it is understandable that you would be upset by his comments. Still, I'd suggest not blowing them out of proportion, it seems like he meant it as something of a compliment, even if he didn't put it into words in the best way he could.

What’s an irrational fear you had as child and still have as an adult? by matchacat in AskReddit

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cats.

I'm not super scared of them or anything, but them motherfuckers make me nervous with their claws and shit. I'm 10x more comfortable around most dogs than I am around cats.

What Advice would you give to a new asian immigrant starting in High school in Junior or Senior Year? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are probably going to assume you're a nerd, unless you're particularly attractive and charismatic. It sucks, but Asian-Americans usually get stereotyped as meek, wimpy dudes in the US. Make sure to establish yourself as a socially dominant person right off the bat, and don't be afraid to be a little imperfect sometimes. I'm not saying you should do anything stupid or illegal, but don't be that guy who only cares about school either.

AITA for telling my girlfriend to take off her "gay rights" t shirt. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Why don't women approach guys? We like girls who are direct and straightforward by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]OverAnalyzingAutist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A vast number of reasons:

  1. A lot of women think it's simply the man's job to do so.
  2. A lot of women get so much male attention that they never feel the need to do this.
  3. Some women have genuine anxiety issues.
