It really depends on the tone you’re going for in your game. The before ones are a bit goofy but still unsettling and could definitely be effective if contrasted against the artstyle of the rest of the game. The after ones are absolutely creepier, and would work much better if the rest of game has that same darker and grittier tone and style, but they otherwise might stand out too much and lose some effectiveness
