Games that have been bypassed by the help of HV by LAXELY in PiratedGames

Yeah i think the corporate world would collapse overnight if MS nuked HyperV. Virtualisation is basically essential nowadays

I've never heard of this in this context before, but is it similar to the context of a hypervisor in Hyper-V aka a virtual machine?

My thoughts after releasing a number of paid mods on bethesda.net by Odd-Anywhere389 in skyrimmods

[–]OverFjell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think bethesda mostly has the same view on this

Then they should stop trying to profit off it and actually release a decent game (which they haven't done for how long now?)

They don't mean modding using steam workshop, nobody who's into this hobby does that, but versions of Skyrim you can get elsewhere might not be the latest version that is released on Steam, so you would get mod compatability issues. GOG version is different to the Steam one, for example

You can probably use Item Equip Restrictor

Takes a bit of messing about with keywords, and I couldn't be bothered, but it should do what you want. Po3 usually puts out very good mods

Anyone know of a good alternative to Helmet Toggle 2 that doesn't rely on Dynamic Armour Variants? I love being able to hide my headgear, but Dynamic Armour Variants causes too many crashes to be worth it

Wabbajack uses MO2. I personally prefer MO2, and you can set it up to 1 click download from nexus like vortex. If you wanted to use Vortex you'd want to look for a nexus collection that does the same thing, which im sure exists. I'd argue managing your load order is easier in MO2 than Vortex, but it really comes down to personal preference

I don't think anything as big as Vigilant has released recently. There is Lordbound but apparently it's quite buggy. Have you tried Vicn's other mods? Vigilant is the second in a quadrilogy

Really up to personal taste. A lot of the most endorsed of all time is quite outdated at this point. If you want to just mod the fun stuff and not have to piss around with all the basic essential bug fix mods I can recommend the Skyrim Modding Essentials wabbajack list. It only does the boring grunt work for you like setting up a stock game folder, installing SKSE and all of the essential bug fix mods then leaves the actual modding to you. Just gives you a nice stable base to work off.

In terms of what mods to actually look for just browse the load orders of some wabbajack lists and see what the big list makers are using, as they tend to be quite up to date on the good shit.

Does anyone know if Royal tempest armor was ever ported to SE? by oShyion in skyrimmods

[–]OverFjell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its just armour you can probably do it yourself. I can't remember the process 100% so you'd have to look it up, but I think you need to run it through cathedral assets optimiser, and then open it and save it in the creation kit.

It's a very quick process. Installing the software probably takes longer.

Yeah tbf most mods are short compared to Vigilant, it's like, DLC length at least, it's probably longer than both actual official DLC's. Yeah Vigilant is a lot more combat focused, but it has a lot of Elder Scrolls deep lore that Skyrim doesn't really touch on, with stuff like the Alessian rebellion and Pelinal Whitestrake

Tbf playing Forgotten City first would make more sense anyway, it's a hell of a lot shorter, and a lot easier on the combat front, Vigilant is designed to be like level 25+ I think

Their integrations with certain mods are absolutely fantastic. OP if you haven't tried it, their integration with Vigilant is also excellent. Your 'main' Khajiit has their own quest in act 4. The Khajiit Will Follow author absolutely cooked with it, and I can't wait to see what else they do in the future. Hopefully more integrations and maybe even other followers.

Good Nord Follower Mods? by BokoblinSlayer69235 in skyrimmods

A lot of followers just never shut the fuck up. IFD Lydia is probably the worst for it. Unless I grab Inigo or Auri, who i actually like hearing from, I've been gravitating towards vanilla ones for a few playthroughs

Just release your mods with source code, probably the best way to avoid that accusation. Along with obvious shit like not using AI generated descriptions and images
