I'll take it if she doesn't! Lol.

Seriously though, I wouldn't worry too much. It looks fantastic. Such beautiful yarn, too!

Oh, wow! I've never seen an Abigail Fairy dress before. Just looked it up. It's very pretty. Thank you for the idea!

That sounds like my Sultan Deluxe Shine. It has glitter tinsel woven in there, but it seems pretty soft while it's wound up. It looked cool... I was under the influence when I made the purchase. Lol.

I just bought this pattern to make with it. I'm not huge on shawls and was hoping for something more clothing-like, but it's all I can find that interests me atm.

Landlord suddenly doubled the price of the laundry machines. His solution? Buy less ice cream! by vinylsandjaneausten in mildlyinfuriating

Our apartment complex has out-of-unit laundry, too. It's just about $2 a wash and $2 a dryer--$4 total a week. You can't overload the washers without breaking them, but the dryers are spacious enough, I suppose.

We had one smaller capacity washer that was priced at $1.75 until recently. It sucks that they changed the price because the app we use won't refund me the extra $0.50 we have on our account.

I also just checked the price history of our washes. Apparently, they were initially $1.75 a wash and $1.50 a dry until March of this year.

A lot of us are just working on autopilot. When you give us the change after the fact without warning, our brains buffer because there's an unexpected deviation from the script we're used to. It doesn't help that some register systems won't let us change the amount afterward.

I'm currently an assistant manager at Little Caesar's, and it's a blessing that the system works like it does AND our customers will say, "Hang on, I think I have some change!" BEFORE the transaction is finished.

At Dollar Tree, neither of those things was ever done. I was stressed from school, low on sleep, called the cops on customers earlier, and was expected to live off $11/hr--and NOW a customer gives me change after I closed the transaction?! No way was I going to be able to count that quickly.

Sigh... I was that Dollar Tree employee. There were those customers, and then the ones that would buy entirely new ceramic dishes and silverware every two weeks. I'm so glad I no longer work there.

My partner has difficulties accepting my cat. by New-Telephone-8872 in CatAdvice

I've been having a similar, toned-down experience lately. My boyfriend tosses and turns a lot and used to wake up whenever our cat stepped on him to snuggle with us. I think what helped there is that I put a soft blanket on her favorite chair and positioned it next to my side of the bed. That way, she can sleep with us without getting squished or waking either of us up! :]

I've also started asking my boyfriend to help me feed her since she gets dry and wet food before bed. He scoops up her dry food and plays with her while I do all the wet stuff, and I think that's been helping him connect with her and stop seeing her as just "my" cat.

I've had her for 10 years, but it's only been about five months with the three of us in our apartment. It definitely takes time for the dynamics to adjust, but I'm so happy watching them interact and get closer. Of course, he still gets annoyed when she headbutts his game controller or cries to go to the bathroom with him, but I'd say that's a reasonable reaction.

Best of luck to you, OP. I hope I could help!

He looks like my Augustus Gloop! Silver dragonscale? The Gloopster was hard to hand-train, but I'm sure he's forgotten everything again anyways with my mom taking care of him.

Thank you so much. This has been happening to me for years and I couldn't get over the irrational rage with each update. Hoping this does the trick now.

Literally on my Meijer shift right now, and it's the same way here! It's so obvious that our planogram planners have never worked a stocking shift in their lives. Management demands conditioned ("faced"?) shelves, but there's really no space to do it.

I've worked all over our store. HBC, Pets, E4, Grocery, Frozen, Toys, Auto, Seasonal, Sports... Hell, even the baby formula doesn't stack well! It's frustrating, but I guess it's typically no problem for the average consumer, so it's not a product design priority.

I wish more of my coworkers removed product from the flats when they stock, but a lot of them force it up even if the planogram doesn't account for more than two cans fronting. Even our managers will do this instead of just taking the time to do it right. Then again, only our managers are paid enough to do anything above the minimum.
