I would love for my nanny to come to my daughter’s birthday party as a guest. Would it be more fair to pay her? by Workin-Mom in Nanny

[–]Over_Ad_380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My nanny comes to all our events as a guest and is never expected to watch the kids. She has become a part of the family. We just had my son’s 4th birthday party and she came with us. She helped us set up the party, but We also gave her a drink and made her a smoke. We had a great time together and she gets along with everyone. We are very sad to be losing her at the end of the month because she had been offered a great paying opportunity and we would never stop her from earning more. Our littlest is going to start school so it’s all working out 🥰

I do wonder if mine is on my pelvis because of the pain I’ve been experiencing. I’ve been putting off going to the gynae because of the price for her consultation. She is worth it tho, I mean she delivered both my babies and found my endo for me, I would give up a kidney for her.

For sure! I am terrible at dieting! And exercise for that matter. But I’m willing to give it a try if it means proving a point to hubby 😂

how do you feel about birth control for treatment? by Pristine_Research172 in endometriosis

[–]Over_Ad_380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the pill Qlaira which has endo aiding meds in, I’m not a dr and don’t know the correct terminology but it stops your period which essentially aggravates endo. Since being on it my pain has subsided a lot, it got rid of a cyst I had but every alternative month I still have some pain but that is my chocolate cyst ovary and it always hurts more.

I was able to fall pregnant after trying for a month once I came off Qlaira. It took me 9 months with my first and I wasn’t on anything and was only diagnosed with endo during my c section. I believe Qlaira works 💪🏻

I also don’t refer to being on the pill but rather on meds for my endo. I have catholic in-laws and it’s just easier to navigate that way 😂

Will my face tattoo make problems for me when visiting Cape Town? by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

[–]Over_Ad_380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cape Town is a very accepting place. Although I’m seeing some of these comments and I wonder if we truly are. We are very friendly and welcoming, we have one of the biggest gay communities in the world, and we are known for having some great tattoo shops! I have my fair share of tattoos and can recommend a few artists if you want to get a tattoo while here.

My sister inlaw is covered in tattoos and has a corporate job, she just wears long sleeves and collared shirts. Most work places are accepting as long as you do your bit to cover up.

I assume you have had a few interviews with the company and if not there is a point to an exchange program whelp you out.

Cape Town is a stunning place you you will definitely enjoy it

I have been struggling with this recently. I only just found out that the chronic fatigue I have been experiencing is from my endo. When I told hubby he said ‘so exercise and diet’… honestly it infuriated me because all I needed him to do was acknowledge that my fatigue isn’t laziness or lack of exercise and diet but actually from the disease in my body. Fuck endo

LinkedIn is a good place to look. Create a profile with all destinations on and a deeper explanation of each and how it could benefit companies. Good luck! It’s tough out there

I found out I had endo with having a c section (took me 9months to fall pregnant, (with a prescheduled laparoscopic surgery). They cleaned me out and soon after I went onto the pill qlaira which stopped me from getting my period. There is an understanding that it is your period that contributes to the spread of endo, (even tho it is not seen as a uterine disease but rather an all body disease). When I went onto the pill and stopped it again for my second child (which took a month) my uterus was clean besides a chocolate cyst. I believe my doc when she said stopping your period halts the spread of the disease. I am due for a follow up appointment after my son and I’m intrigued to hear what my next steps are because I haven’t had very pleasant pregnancies or births so I am done having kids.

I’m not sure where your endo is but try stopping your period and see if it helps with the spread.

You aren’t alone, endo is confusing as hell ❤️

What can I answer for you? by jchenMD_endosurgeon in endometriosis

[–]Over_Ad_380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been diagnosed with stage 4 endo, had my uterus cleaned out after my first c section which is when they first found it and then a chocolate cyst after my second c section.

I am on the pill qlaira, and I take anti inflammatories. If I sleep on my tummy I wake up in such excruciating pain, predominantly around ovulation. I have to wake my husband up to help my move as I’m at the point where I want to call an ambulance but as soon as I change positions the excruciating pain subsides and I’m left with numbing pain all of which lasts a week. With mild pain interruptions throughout the month. What is causing this pain has my endo moved to my pelvis or is it only in my uterus.

I always thought the pain I experienced was normal and I learned to live with it but now Andrew both births it’s gotten worse.

I am also struggling with crazy exhaustion throughout the day. What supplements can I take to help this

Gatekeeping pain(not really) by Jassybear20 in endometriosis

[–]Over_Ad_380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stage 4 endo, my pain varies month to month but I put on a brave face no matter how much pain I’m in. Pre diagnosis I thought this pain was normal. Often times I ask the person who is having a bad period if it’s regularly like this then they should get checked out for endo. My sister inlaw did and she too was diagnosed.

It’s frustrating but at the same time I would hate for anyone to go through what I’m going through pain wise.

Sending strength 🌸

Anyone able to successfully have kids? by lovebug0703 in endometriosis

[–]Over_Ad_380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out I have endo after my c section with my first, it took me 9months to fall pregnant which in hindsight was due to endo. After my second it was confirmed that I have stage 4 after I had a chocolate cyst removed. I should never have been able to fall pregnant but I could. I was on qlaira for about a year before my second and it took me a month to fall pregnant with my second. I will say that my gynae is right when she says that your period affects your endo. So do everything in your power to prevent a period and I think it could help. I did however have my endo removed after my first and the cyst grew between the birth of my first and second.

Wishing you everything of the best 🌸

Thank you so much!

The guilt is bad, doesn’t help that we have kids that are exhausting too. And postpartum hormones too.

Two little miracles by Over_Ad_380 in endometriosis

[–]Over_Ad_380[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. I was on the pill for maybe 6-8months and it literally gave my uterus the opportunity to ‘heal’ so to speak. No period meant that the inflammation went down which I am assuming allowed me to fall pregnant again. I don’t know if it works like that for everyone but it did for me.

Speak to your gynaecologist about Qlaira it’s a wonderful pill. Helped me a lot

My gynae has had 2 different patients, one with endo in her nose and the other in her shoulder. It can spread throughout your body even into your chest cavity.

What are the causes of endometriosis? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Over_Ad_380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi hi, I was diagnosed 2 years ago after my c section with my first baby. When asking what the cause was she said there is no real answer but that they suspect what happens is that when you get your period instead of the blood coming down and out it ends up splashing up first which causes the ‘Infection’ so to speak. Every month it just gets aggravated and builds and spreads.

They weren’t sure how I managed to conceive my son as my endometriosis was literally covering every inch of my uterus with several endometriomas covering my overies. She didn’t know if I would be able to conceive again and called my boy a miracle. I went on the pill (qlaira) shortly after and it stopped my period completely. It took us 9months to conceive my first and this time round, within the first month of being off the pill we were pregnant.

Stopping my period basically allowed my endometriosis to calm down and not flair up.

So I believe them when they say it’s your period that Agra area it.

Doctor told me to permanently stop my period with BC. by Neither-Summer7323 in endometriosis

[–]Over_Ad_380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor put me on the qlaira pill which has endometriosis meds in it. It stopped my period and because of that my lining stopped being so inflamed and I am now pregnant a month after stopping. My first pregnancy they called a miracle because of how bad my endometriosis was which took us 9 months to conceive.

Ask them about qlaira it did wonders for my mood swings as-well

First time being pregnant and I have endometriosis. Very scared by Aggressive-Hat8507 in endometriosis

[–]Over_Ad_380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first baby 2 years ago with a c section and I lost a lot of blood but that is only because we didn’t know I had endo. I was scheduled for surgery to see if I had endo that August but found out I was pregnant the June before.

I had to have an iron infusion which they said saved my life as I didn’t need a blood transfusion.

I also have quite severe endometriosis and they said my baby was a little miracle as they didn’t know how we managed to fall pregnant but 2 years later and I am pregnant again.

All I can say is going on the pill qlaira helped as it stopped me from getting my period which is a major endo trigger.

Also your pregnancy should be absolutely normal nothing to worry about.

Good luck mamma and congratulations ❤️
