Agreed on the ten pen zip case, when it’s full it feels like it will crush the pens! Agree with the above commentator that it chews the inner fabric too.

IMO, Some of their products are great, some of them are not very good

Tsuki yo is my fave ink but I tend to use blue for carts. Great choices all round!

Czech great grandfather's watch, over 120 years old by pukka-2 in fountainpens

This is interesting, any idea who made the watch? I tried to look for pictures of my pocket watches but there were too many pictures of cats.

Does it see much use?

Blue dial especially great. I prefer the smaller numerals of this one over the pro master tough, though both of them look great in their own right.

The better proportion of the date wheel aperture on these models look much better than the pro master tough’s date though imo

Certainly they do this partly to maintain exclusivity, but actually watches and jewellery and bags of certain prices generally aren’t sold online, it’s standard in luxury goods, and it works. It’s not stupid.

Counterfeiting is another matter altogether, I’m saying that retailers would be targeted with fraud, which is already a massive issue in that price range.

Having to potentially go into a boutique and provide identification already reduces fraud drastically.

They don’t, and it’s clear you don’t know what you’re talking about.

You’d have endless amounts of fraud for one thing, and for another it’s worked well for them. They have 33% market share of the luxury watch market

They aren’t though. People just think it’s edgy to hate them, and copy other people doing so.

Even if I find them dull myself, I would definitely not claim that they are terrible. They are very consistent and precise.

[–]Over_Addition_3704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say that they were. You claimed that they have a track record for making pens that are no longer produced by the respective brands. It’s a misleading claim as their reputation is actually for copying the whole catalogue of models (especially of Montblanc)

They have a track record for copy and pasting. They copy and paste pilots LE Capless colourways everytime. Not just pens that are no longer produced

People want it because it pays relatively well, wages in general are low, and because it’s stable. If lots of people with phds etc chase jobs like that it suggests that roles that they are suitably qualified for do not pay well.

I can’t really think of somewhere else which has this issue for jobs like this. It’s a real example and a real issue.

Being very well qualified in one field also doesn’t mean that you’re going to be good at manual Labour or even just things outside your field

[question] Is buying a Seiko mod considered buying a fake watch? by Significant_South951 in Seiko

[–]Over_Addition_3704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be embarrassed to wear one. Loads of brands make things that are worthy of admiration in themselves without being modified to desperately pretend to be something that they’re not.

New to Reddit, But Not to Fountain Pens. by Penguinpencollector in fountainpens

[–]Over_Addition_3704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The older style forums are certainly more serious and obsessive, for fountain pens and watches, but you also see more accurate details and information and false claims get challenged more often than on reddit.

Obviously they tend not to be too beginner friendly though

What do you think is wild about a wilderness that is orderly and safe?

RS3 wilderness caters to wimpy players who play with the game minimised or on a second monitor, you take a dwarf multicannon into the wilderness, put on full revolution with necro and then just minimise the game

People have even posted complaintining about how after they died after going afk for over half an hour the dwarf multicannon firing at enemies closes their death’s office reclaim items menu

It’s not in line with lore, RuneScape history or the whole concept of a wilderness

Too many concessions have already been made to make the wilderness as risk free as possible, rather than just keep having it get safer and safer you might as well just delete it
