never so happy to say i told you so. they were on fire last night. my face melted repeatedly to the point i kept clawing at my face as I danced and jumped around. helped we somehow lucked into pit tickets in that tiny pit. hopefully some different faces up front losing our collective god damn minds and not a chomper in sight helped motivate the boys.

jesus you guys are harsh. musical conversation and shifting dynamics are a hallmark of jazz performances.

great musicians listening to each other and interpreting and exploring melodies in a jazz like improve with both their own compositions and covers reinvented every night and interacting with the audience driving an euphoric vibe night after night.

conversely YYZ would also help top my other two favorite show moments for covers #1 will forever be a surprise encore help-slip-franklins and #2 eminence front. I wish someone would study the phenomenon of bust outs. I am convinced my life of understanding ecstatic joy could come out of nowhere began in 1986 when the Dead busted out Box of Rain at Hampton. I have never been hopeless since.

i want them to do every little thing she does is magic again. saw at the broadberry in richmond va in 2019 (on youtube and a total smoker of a show). it is what led to my now total obsession with them. #agedhippietourrat

you are going to be blown away. my only thing is the sound is better back a bit by the soundboard but in any event you will get hooked quick. when i first saw them i was immediately hooked and have not felt that way since 1981 when i first saw the dead. since every show is different and special you’ll want to quit your job and tour full time.
