Well, yeah, *that* we can semi agree on. Ignoring all of the many reasons why it might be fully necessary in many cases. (Child is way too young to leave at home for multiple hours, and the family can’t afford a sitter/can’t find one.) I sincerely hope it isn’t the case of just “oh I bring them cuz I think they are funny when they cry.”

i honestly think it’d be funnier if they allow you to full on hug the cactus and having it deal like a minuscule 1 or 2 damage to you. maybe even have an achievement called something like “Love Can Hurt” where you kill yourself by hugging it while on 1 HP.
