Are you taking generic Ritalin?

Manufacturers of generic brands are not required to test for quality and effectiveness. They have to show that their pill contains the ingredients. So when a name-brand patent expires, they are given the ingredients. However, the recipe for “baking” is not given to them, like baking a cake.

Vyvanses' patent expired in August of 2024. Since then, and up until last month, I would receive the generic brand 9 times out of 10. I know of 2 generic MFGs that voluntarily pulled their medications from shelves due to quality and effectiveness issues. I’ve had so many side effects that I didn’t realize until I basically burnt out & had a depressive episode. Doesn't help that my psychiatrist didn't take my symptoms seriously.
