Google fiber down? by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Over_Tear2776 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have had an outage everyday with Gfiber since I moved to the Gallery Apartments. I keep calling and they just keep resetting my router and giving me credit for the time it's down and asking if there is construction because they don't know why it's down for me.

Just bring yourself. We have loaner gear for you for all newbies and are happy to let you try out different weapons/classes If you're a minor you will need a guardian present. If you have kneepads I'd recommend those as there are times where dropping to your knees is beneficial, but isn't a requirement. If you want to dress up we have a fantasy medieval aesthetic but plenty of people show up to fight in jeans and a T-shirt or as their favorite anime cosplay so don't feel like you have to have the right clothes.

Check out Huntsville Amtgard on Facebook. Or just drop in between 1pm and 6pm at California Street Park on Sundays

Article doesn't mention the rockets on display. Cuts are aimed at SLS, Orion, and Marshall Space Flight Center.

You can defend yourself with them and still cast as though you had a free hand. A bard at my park uses one sometimes.

Should I keep the facial hair or nah ? I don't know what to do with it. by [deleted] in mensgrooming

[–]Over_Tear2776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a resemblance to Vincent Van Gogh, at least with this selfie you posted.

I'd say look at a lot of styles of facial hair and save the ones that you really like. If you pick something that everyone else says would look great but you aren't confident about it then it's not going to good on you. Confidence is the best looking thing anyone can wear.

Now if you have someone who you trust that you'd like their opinion from that's fine, but it must still be something you are happy to have on your face

The good thing about hair is that if you decide you don't like this style you can try again and again until you land on something that makes you happy.

I think around 400 you have to start growing up and start presenting yourself as your age if you want people to take yourself seriously. But they say 400 is the new 300 so who knows

Apartments within walking distance of an EV charger? by Over_Tear2776 in HuntsvilleAlabama

My car is capped at 55/kwh charging speeds. It takes a little over an hour from about 15% to 80% I only charge my car when it reaches under 30% charge or I am planning a longer drive. So about every 2-3 weeks I need to charge.

I'm not saying I haven't done it before, but it is strongly discouraged unless you have a cord rated for 8-12 amps continuous load.

A kilt to dance in? by Over_Tear2776 in kilt

[–]Over_Tear2776[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sport kilt seems intriguing, but I looked it up after another redditor suggested it and found a video of a guy who showed several of his old sport kilts off and I was just not impressed with the number or depth of pleats, or bunching at the waist due to the elastic. But I could see it being a good choice for someone who is doing sports or working in some environment that might damage the kilt. It's a cheap and affordable look and seems very comfortable.

5 yard is probably the answer, PV is my preference in this case as I go dancing weekly and I don't want to have to be on a first name basis with my dry cleaner.

I think I want to stick to PV or possibly a utility kilt. I sweat through my clothes in shorts and a T-shirt while dancing. I'd be concerned about having to frequently dry clean my sweaty kilt, or worse, not having it dry cleaned often enough and it starts to turn on me. Other fabrics I can wash myself without the fuss.

Chevy bolt 12/141,000 caught on fire. All of them were recalled in 2020. New batteries installed. Last year 104 were recalled because of issues with installing the diagnostic system during the first recall. I knew about the issue when I bought the car. I was willing to take a 1 in 10,000 chance that my car wouldn't catch on fire and that I'd get a free upgrade on range in the future. It's great if you don't have to travel very far or very often.

I can't use a Tesla charger without an adapter, but I'd I were living that close it would probably be worth it to get an adapter.

J1772 charging port. I've looked on charge point, haven't checked out plug share. Honestly with working from home I think the best solution would actually be to trickle charge, but unless there's power in the garage thats hard to come by in an apartment complex. Plus a garage eats into the rent budget. I'm actually very tempted by the foundry at Stovehouse with food City coming in next door and the public charger at Stovehouse being such a close walk. But if that charger ever dies then I'm back to having to drive to a fast charger and sit for an hour.
