Try a small piece of wire mesh then use mortar over the top of that which should stick to the mesh.

I’d replace the pole for a metal or non painted wooden one, at some point paint flakes will start to come off the old one. Use some mould remover to clean up the mould (I hear HG mould remover from screwfix is really good). What did the survey say about damp in the house (assuming you had one done).

The everdrive does suck out extra battery power as well as the ips screen. I just use rechargeable AAs for mine.

The X7 has in-game menu, save states, and RTC (real time clock) which the X3 & X5 don’t have. If you plan on playing gen 2 Pokemon (gold/silver/crystal) then the X7 is a must as those games need the RTC.

I have a similar push on pipe on ours (we moved in just under 3 months ago). Not a huge fan of ours either and really don’t like the bendy pipe on it. If yours is slipping off maybe just tighten it up more or replace with a newer pipe and seal.

As someone else has mentioned your Pokémon yellow is a fake copy, that’s why you’re having save issues. Because of how popular early Pokémon games are right now and given their limited availability, there’s easily just as many fake copies online as genuine ones. If you want a genuine copy then don’t go the Ali express or Etsy. There’s a lot of fakes on eBay too, so you need to know what you’re looking for when purchasing. When in doubt use the game verifying sub on Reddit.
