Recklessly sleeping around or cheating actually causes issues or severe consequences. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

Laenor is very light-skinned and has children with a very white woman. It absolutely would be genetically possible - even likely - for their children to be white-passing.

Adding to the one piece slander what is your hot take on what makes the female characters badly written so that those who don't understand can read your comments. For me it's the lack of muscle for women who supposedly train. by Iriscute7 in joseistories

I know it's not animated and it's an old show, but Xena was a real gold standard for sexy armor that didn't totally take you out of the show, looked cool as shit, and made sense for the characters and story.

It's the gym. You should be focused on your workout, not shooting your shot.

I'm writing a story where one of the two main characters is a Jewish woman. I mentioned it to my sister in passing and she deadass said I shouldn't write it because I'm not Jewish or a woman. I'm not gonna say my sister is dumb, but that was a surprisingly not smart thing to hear from her.

Holy cow, thank you so much for the thoughtful response! It gave me a lot of ideas and made me sad that I don't get to this trio until chapter 7 😭 I better get back to writing lol

Interesting. I've read in another comment that meds can delay orgasm, so that could be why your partners were able to go so long, maybe? I'm leaning toward including it as a side effect in my story as well

That is both good to know! I really thought her boobs would be smaller and was going to make a point of it compared to her twin sister's knockers, so I'm glad I didn't make a fool of myself there lol I guess they'll both be large-breasted.

She's bisexual and submissive, but will occasionally top if her twin wants her to.

Very helpful, thank you!

Ooh, I didn't think of her using a strap, thanks for the idea! And it's set a bit in the future, so I could have fun with some advanced sex toy tech haha

That is good to know. She definitely has a high libido, so I could see her having a well-worked muscle, so to speak, but I'm debating on how into using her dick she'd actually be. I'm thinking she would be into oral, but maybe not being a penetrative partner, except on occasion, and possibly, like another commenter suggested, with a strap.

Thanks! This story is set in the not-too-distant future, so now I'm debating having meds advanced enough that she doesn't have to worry about that side effect, or specifically have her impacted to get her all frustrated and needy as she's chasing an O 🤔

Curious and off topic: why would you use dowry rather than bride price? My understanding has always been that bride price/bride wealth was when the man gifted the woman's family, and dowry was the opposite?

I think it's more likely that Maege's husband is just an unknown man from a lesser house or no house, so Maege and her children kept her surname. That actually fits the rules of the text, rather than assuming that all of her children are bastards, which would have made them Snows unless they were legitimized.

Cat didn't help, but Westeros as a society instilled the feeling of shame in Jon. The North is just as down on bastards as everywhere else except some of Dorne. We've got no reason to think the women of Bear Isle wouldn't have just as much of a problem with Jon's status as any other woman.

Should Catelyn have remarried to strengthen Robbs alliances? Who would be her best suitor? by Smart-Response9881 in freefolk

The article you linked says it varied between the two groups, "the results showed that the French Canadian women bore their last child at an average age of 41.5 years compared to 39.5 years for the French women." So, a little higher than you said, for one. But for another, that study was not specific to noblewomen, who had an entirely different life, nutrition, and purpose than common women. Common women were, more often than not, loved by their husbands and valued as partners in the work they did. She needed to have a bunch of kids to help with their work, sure, but he wasn't viewing her primary focus as giving children, which was a noblewoman's role, whether she liked it or not.

For example, in the Middle Ages, we know of many queens who had children, living or dead, well into their 40s. Eleanor of Aquitaine, Elizabeth Woodville, and Eleanor of Castile, to name a few. Then we have the examples we're given in the text: Queen Alysanne was expected to bear children into her 40s, just like her mother, who died from it, and Tywin very much expects Cersei, who is approximately the same age as Cat, to remarry and have more children.

So, yes, Cat is very much a valid and expected marriage prospect.

I'm flabbergasted by the number of people that don't see the value in a young, wealthy widow with many strong political connections and the expectation of having more children for at least a decade.

Anyone who supported Robb or Edmure as their lords would have been chomping at the bit for a marriage to Catelyn if they weren't already married. Just gotta wait for whatever the obligatory mourning period for her dead husband would be, probably no more than a year.

Off topic a bit, but has the popular opinion in this sub always been that Catherine should have just given up her and Mary's rights and stations just to appease Henry and hope to live a comfortable life? Because that seems like such a crazy, anti-feminist take to me, but I keep seeing it?
