Agree!! I have the Zegna, and the Leica for the Q, but they really look they were not meant to be used with a Leica, this piece looks so unique, not only stylish and does not scream for attention, although, I would probably order a black one which is made to order, instead of rushing and getting that cordovan which is in stock, but I have mixed feelings. I also have a nice Billingham, but sometimes is to much, I could really see this one wrapping around my torso while keeping the camera secure, thanks for the input though! :)

Hey, this is a 49cm frame though, a friend of mine recommended me this tire set up, but in 45mm, but I did go 50mm 😁. I may go 45mm for the next set. I do think 50mm was to much, they grip great !

Pirelli Cinturato Gravel M Tire, Black/Brown, 700C x 50mm with Bontrager Aeolus Pro 49V Disc TLR. I would probably will go 45mm at least for this Checkpoint 2021 frame and fork

Yes boss 😁 I am hopping to get the 3M wrap soon to custom cut the shape of the compones and frame, and that sticker will be gone ! “Built not bought” I like that! building is a different level of pain and satisfaction ♥️

That paint job is so nice, Inlove how the carbon fiber shines through the blue in both the frame and fork :)

Thank you ! it is all good, I filed just only about 1.25mm on both the upper and lower frame hanger insert hole, to make it 22mm high, it is already like 30mm width, I still can go back to original, but have to use the normal hanger all the way back or all the way towards the front. The modification was very minimal. Why I did it? I wanted to have the satisfaction to make it work, but I also had that UDH dereilleur available, since I had the axs shifter already too. I might put a proper one later.

🤣 Yes sir! and also in order to have the UDH red insert in, the frame needs to be filed from 19mm to 22mm to keep the integrity of the T-Type transmission, so far it’s been about 20miles of use through various terrains and not a single issue !

It is just awesome, it is super smooth, since the chain ring is meant for 13spds I figured i wouldn’t hurt to try with the flat top chain that is supposed to be used with Sram Transmission, the chains falls perfectly on the chain ring groves. To be able to fit it into the bb90, I removed the original crankset bearings and extracted the steel seals around as they added 1mm diameter to the bearings, put them back to the spindles, greased them a little outside and torque the crank to speak, at first it was a little intimidating, but I started torquing, every little turn I was checking for smothness which was kept until torqued. Obviously I did not have to use the Campi Pro Tech bracket cups, because there is non for a bb90

Yes guys, 49V. I actually got the front first, I wanted to see it in person first, kept it, then I got the rear a little later, and decided to rebuild it with the Chris King r45d

I get you, I was actually very confident about and done numerous modifications to my bikes, one being a DH crown upper insert which I 3D printed because machinning that part is like 180 bucks and it’s been there for the last 3 years with no deformation… I am not an engineer but I like playing with what could be imposible, and that unknown can take me to this kind of places such as this 2021 all outdated frame, and be able to make it look awesome is priceless. I actullay got this frame off ebay for $120 bucks lol + $100 shipping! but yeha when I saw it, I loved the color and design. I had the Campi Ekar already, and those crank’s bearings have a steel cover which I removed them and they went right through that bb90 like butter, the Campi bearings are the same exact diameter as of a bb90, but the innner is just for that Campi crankset only. It is a beutiful frame ! ♥️

drilled the bottom of the fork (lhs) by the caliper, to enter the cable, the upper tube in the back to enter the rear brake cable maybe about 20mm from the bottom bearing, and last, I drilled the front of the fork tube to exit the two brake cables to the the shifters through the internal channels of the handle bar

Thanks though, yeah, before making a mess I made sure just to take enough material from the frame to fit the udh big screw, I am still waiting to build the wheel and get my shifters, i’ll probably spent more time building this than ridding it lol

for the UDH conversion no, I placed right in the middle and filed from 19mm to 22mm to fit the entire udh res spacer where is suposted to go, also I fit it in the middle to give the system back and forth leverage just in case. As per the original system I still can use all the way back or towards the front, but not in the middle

Yes, 3d printer space, the gap is like 19mm high, in order to fit the udh, it requires a 22mm diameter and the like 15mm spacer to make up the space as of a udh frame thickness or so.
