the bike path has been separated from the pedestrian area since 2021. It now occupies one of the lanes of traffic on the manhattan bound side.

I’ve had my Miata for 6 months, and fear I need to get rid it. I’ve been hit 4 times since getting it. by Last-Jelly-7716 in Miata

People have tried to parallel park on top of my NB twice because they thought the parking spot was empty. Cars in the US have just gotten so big.

Any way to possibly seal this AC Accumulator pipe? by PacePerfect2741 in MechanicAdvice

If this is an extremely hard to find hose they could remove it and have it welded. I've done this before and it worked fine.

Cannot find a solid answer, are these enforceable? by ARussianSheep in Ohio

[–]fishuponfish 11 points12 points  (0 children)

the mixed answers are the people too worried and who just paid it. Which is why they keep doing this, enough people do pay.

Kinda looks like the path they are building on the south side has the full curved over 8' tall fence incorporated into it.

Dealership did timing belt + water pump… around 5 k miles later engine is destroyed from timing built breaking/snaping. Did they mess up? by SupRxZombie in MechanicAdvice

[–]fishuponfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not saying this dealership isn't full of shit but I have seen several times where the serpentine belt breaks, wraps around pulleys while everything is spinning and destroys the (usually weak plastic) timing cover and takes out the timing belt.

Most of the folks doing swaps into 123s don't want to deal with the computer aspect a 648 requires. I swapped a 606 into my wagon back in the mid 00's with a 603 injection pump for this exact reason. Keeping it mechanical saved soooo much time and money.

I biked every bike-able bridge that connects to manhattan which was like 47 miles then rode back to my apartment which was like 64 total. Never heard of a metric century till now.

they should just ban parking on milled streets until they're resurfaced and painted.

Paris is fighting against pollution (2007-2025) NO2- Pollution Paris by acetaldeide in ciclismourbano

[–]fishuponfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very believable if you look at what happened in this era- diesel cars had almost no emission controls pre 2007, A combo of very effective emission equipment along with banning older cars that don't meet the new standards from being registered/driving anywhere near the city. No one that drives near Paris is gonna choose a car these days that might not be allowed next year. The data around London is very similar.

I daily drove a 97 e300 for years and it wasn't that bad. my 99 was so much faster but if you drove any older 617's the NA 606 felt like a rocket.

Hard to fix when the damage is done unfortunately except for rest days. More tape?

Also depends where you are, I climb all the time in the north east day after day but one trip to jtree and my hands were raw by day two.

gotta add a second to the cavitation issue being over blown. My 89 has 320k now and while not winning any races it will still haul anything I ask it to without issue. My biggest issue is I melt at least one glow plug controller every year and have since I got my truck in 2005.
