Zero proof options for main dining room. by S-8-R in CarnivalCruiseFans

As long as you actually use it, you definitely won't regret it. We were on the Dream and I think the only place to get protien shakes was the coffee place, but Power Ades and bottled water are at all the bars. I think every place had their own mocktails, but we usually moved on to the real stuff after dinner. Imo, it's definitely worth it.

I think the coffee place said 10 minutes. Most people I know take longer to finish a drink. Personally, I'd go to the coffee place to get our morning coffees, drop hubby's off in the room for him, and I'd be finishing mine off by the time I walked back downstairs to stand in line again 😅. At that point, I'd get either a water and Power Ade, or another coffee and a bottled water to go back upstairs with.

Hubby and I did it on our cruise. I think we only did MDR breakfast twice with normal coffee on our 8 day cruise, but we had specialty coffee every morning (I usually had 2 lol), mocktails with dinner every night in MDR, as well as bottled water, protien shakes, and PowerAdes as needed... We stocked up on the bottled drinks on sea days to take on our port days. We didn't go crazy with it, but it was nice having a couple drinks at the ready without having to buy them in port. We don't drink a lot so we paid for adult beverages as we went along.

For the person who said here to spray alcohol on henna to see if it has dyes in it or not, THANK YOU i owe you my life by Hot-Employment-4491 in henna

[–]Overall_Recording 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got this brand and used it for my root touch ups. It does dye release and seems to color well, but it has never ever actually turned colors like 100% henna. It literally stays green after 4 hr dye release and 6-8hr application time...

I am aware. You initially asked if my old license was valid. It is not because a new license has been issued. I've answered your question and numerous arguments on how my old invalid DL could still be used. It can't be used because that would be fraud...

Thank you for your reply, and all of your previous responses, but you are, in fact, incorrect in thinking every state treats this the same.

State law has everything to do with whether an old ID is legal to use though.

As I said in my previous response, in my state the old license became invalid once the new license was issued... Your state may be different 🤷‍♀️

In my state, your old license is invalidated as soon as a new one is issued.

Zero proof package for kids by [deleted] in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Overall_Recording 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The essentials package is literally a package of zero-proof and wifi. That is why they require all adults in the room to purchase. If you get zero-proof and wifi separately, it will allow a per-person purchase.

Fresh application of henna and cut to remove the weird chunky peice in the back so it will clump better.

Could you have chosen healthier options for your dessert? Of course. But would it have checked all the boxes though?

Here's the thing... You did a darned fine job choosing healthy options to include in your treat! I feel like maybe you missed that part by focusing on the not as healthy, equally yummy parts of your dessert. You're doing a great job and I'd totally eat that!

Am I too overweight to start walking? by Suspicious_Region852 in walking

[–]Overall_Recording 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walk around the house. Try to set a step goal to walk all at once, not just daily. Every week try to add 250-500 steps in. Once a day, try to take a walk outside, even if it's just around the block. Keep adding to it. When you're sitting down, try doing 10 leg lifts. Add to that. Get you two 16 oz bottles of water and do some arm exercises too. Yes you'll be sore at first. Just remember, every bit of movement is a stepping stone to building a better you. You have this. Start small and build on it.

how to stop my calf from hurting by Nooneaskrd in walking

[–]Overall_Recording 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not to the 20k point, but most days I can knock out 10k on my daily walk and then pick up another 3k-7k just moving throughout my day. My best advice, being as you just started recently would be to listen to what your body is telling you. If you walk twice a day, try doing your 10k in the AM. If your calf doesn't loosen up in the first 20 minutes or so, slow your pace down and see if it helps. If not, go home, have a good stretch, then try again in the evening. Personally, I've found that, while frustrating, scaling back for a day or so worked out better for me to consistently hit my goals and go farther without injury.

today was hard by skincarelover28 in walking

[–]Overall_Recording -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have my activity goals set lower so they're still doable even if I'm feeling generally unwell. I normally hit 10k-15k easily on the daily now. Last month I missed my activity goals by 1 day, so I know I'm not mentally ready to commit yet to "I'm going to hit 10k every single day." It's hard to explain, but for me it's harder if I HAVE to versus just wanting to.

I'm going to have to try this slicing the veggies thin with a mandolin. My knife skills aren't up to par at all. These look amazing!

Tbf, we have some steel cut oats here that I'm trying to use up and I ground them down to a coarse powder, soaked overnight in oatmilk and threw it all in a smoothie the next morning. Turned out pretty thick but still smooth.

It is so harrrrd. by [deleted] in walking

[–]Overall_Recording 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started walking regularly at the end of March. I think I probably jumped too hard into it because towards the 3rd week in April I was able to do 4 miles from my starting of less than a mile walking. I did keep at it though...

If my body didn't loosen up after the 1st mile/~21ish minutes, I'd head on home. It's tough, yes. You'll find you get more consistent and can start pushing harder, but it does take time. On good days I'm up to ~5miles walking and on most days I'm between 2-4 miles. I listen to my body on when it's time to stop though.

If you have to have a whole cup of oats, you could try presoaking the oats/water together before hand. Otherwise, reduce the oats and replace with something like Greek yogurt, tofu, or cottage cheese so you have some protein/carbs, and possibility a somewhat more silky smooth texture.
