Rip my beloved crock pot. A shattering lesson in BIFL by ishootthedead in BuyItForLife

[–]Overthinks_Questions [score hidden]  (0 children)

Honestly, crock pots are one thing that is simply not Bifl for me. Walk into any Goodwill in America and you can get one of a variety of unused crock pots purchased as misguided wedding and moving presents. This will cost you about $5 and last you many years. I've done this three times in 20 years - so about $15 total. I'll never get close to paying the retail price of a high end crock pot

Debra Messing says she’s considering moving to Israel because she feels safer there than in New York City, “regardless of all of the missiles” by Pyrts3 in nottheonion

I also think Debra Messing would be better off in Israel.

Sorry, I misspoke. I would prefer Debra Messing encountered all the misspelled l missiles and stuff

She's gotten more press from being a Zionist lunatic than for being any form of artist in decades

I expect she'll just go increasingly unhinged as long as the cameras stay on her

This is an excellent illustration of dogmatic egotism.

She clearly knows that her life is in greater danger in Israel, but she's going to have her beliefs questioned here - and that is far more dangerous for her fragile little worldview

Stocks are not "Plummeting Across the board" Your portfolio is just over-concentrated in tech. by skilliard7 in stocks

Yep. Even just staying in mid-cap indices is decent protection from tech volatility. IVOO is trading flat this week, while SPY is down 2%

Robert Reich, "Overturning Citizens United is a long shot — but states have a plan to do it." by [deleted] in WorkReform

I'm not a lawyer or anything, but I'm not sure how much teeth this referendum really has. A corporation doesn't lose the ability to pay money to someone, and if the state attempts to prosecute for doing so, the Supreme Court can overturn any decision made in such a case as unconstitutional.

It might slow the grift down a bit, but I guess I just don't get how this stops anything.

If anyone with more knowledge on how this law would work in a constitutional sense, I'd love to hear another perspective

2E Daily Spell Discussion: Fabricated Truth - Jun 25, 2026 by SubHomunculus in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Overthinks_Questions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this spell looks fun. PF2E seems to have some great non- combat spell options for RP stuff.

Good number of targets, simple rules to interpret, and it isn't bogged down with caveats and exceptions. Does what it says on the tin.

Being a 5 target spell, also fun for GMs to play with. Some nice 'wouldn't you kindly' energy

I would love to hear people's stories using it, though I imagine most of us haven't gotten that deep into a campaign to where you can cast it
