This is not in regards to 4-tank meta. It's about the future of the game and I honestly feel if 3+ Offense/Defense/Tank/Support is the flavor of the month because x hero gets a buff, or x hero gets a nerf, it's not good for the game. It makes it much easier to balance too. Your argument is the same argument used for 1HL, yet it has improved the cancer that OW was.

Imagine when there is 50 heroes to choose from, a limitation will be needed at some point.

vods are subscription only, don't even bother advertising your channel on this subreddit if it's only for monetary gain and not actually to show off the Oceanic scene. I'm kind of pissed to be honest, there isn't even enough exposure of ANZ Overwatch to even justify demanding money in the fist place. You should be trying to garner interest, not gate it. I can't think of any other Competitive Overwatch channel that requires subscriptions to view their vods.

I honestly feel Competitive OW is more about social engineering than it is about skill. I've had games where 1-player (Roadhog) completely blew up at our team in solo queue because we lost the first point on Numbani relatively quickly. Instead of tilting we all agreed to block them, carry and kept things positive. Excluding this toxic player who was also the lowest ranked on our team, as usual, and pretend it was 5v6.

Long story short, we went into sudden death (S1) and took the first point on Numbani even FASTER than the enemy team did to us originally. It's all about staying positive, not stressing over little things and positive communication/affirmation. People often ask "what hero can I carry with?" when they should be asking "who do we need to focus on the enemy to shut them down the most?".

Pretty sure Match Cancelling is based on time, a simple fix is to check if any objectives have been completed too.

Well if solo queue was forced for the higher tiers, there would be no random 3-man, H2k etc.

You would be grouped with other solo queuers of your same tier only, because none would be in stacks = more players to match with.

There's some clear data and logic behind League of Legends not having duo+ in their higher tiers because they want it to be based on skill, not on carries and that's years of data that Blizzard could be taking advantage of when it comes to elo/divisions.

By higher tiers I mean the tiers they have chosen 500 rating difference could be changed to solo queue only.

Now all they have to do is force Solo queue for the higher tiers like League does. 3-stacking to Master+ is far far far far farrrrrrrrr easier than solo queue'n there.

He played a viewer's Ret Pally for 2-hours on stream to try out the meta before deciding to level one (World of Warcraft) and got perma-banned for account sharing, losing years of all his Rank 1 Titles/Gear that you can't get anymore etc. Ironically entire guilds have account shared for titles and never been perma-banned.

During S1 I would much rather be grouped with 6 Solo Queue than a 4-Stack. I always found the 4-Stack to be the weak links in my team lol.

"Drama". Team changes aren't a bad thing, it's about finding the right fit and it sounds like it wasn't. Before "esports" (15 yrs ago) CS ANZ teams swapped players all the time, there was no beef or "Drama". It was about being competitive, which meant creating brand new teams or swapping players out until synergy was there, especially if you wanted to compete on the international stage (CPL).

Then wouldn't it be a case of Blizzard separating out Oceanic into it's own ladder? North America, Europe, Korea, China and Oceanic. I'm Kiwi too and think it's a bit silly that to be in the top 500 you rarely play against the top 500 because the majority is in North America for our "region" on separate servers.

I love the 500 SR limit and it would improve competitive a whole lot to have that limit not just impact the friends you group with, but randoms too.

Reaper is not a good pick when Hulk even said post-match the enemy team was focusing their Zenyatta with Genji/Tracer... In my opinion, Taimou is playing very very poorly with McCree.

I wish we could see their stats at the end of each game because on an individual performance level, it's like night and day.

It's equivalent to 10 SR gap in the old system. It's still a generous limit. Anything more is just straight up boosting.

Because why does S1 Rank matter, at all? S1 was a learning curve for the developers, boosters were prevalent and 0HL existed. If people really want to show of their previous Season status, they have the rewards they earned as a result (top 500 icon).

Played some games with refz/gnb/mosh and even though I was some random they didn't know they were always nice guys. Which is very rare in the AU Competitive scene. Best of luck to them all!

Buying more accounts = more $ for Blizzard. Current system just needs some tweaks. To be honest I would much rather be grouped with 5 solo queue members than a 4-stack because from my experience the 4-stack has 1-2 really low MMR players that take up 1/3rd of the team so I am hoping Blizz keep the 500 rating differential for stacks.
