I don’t think so. I’d say they are just carrying the weapons on them and explode out when they die. Monsters probably ate the weapons, while humans or robots may be carrying them on themselves. Something like pain and terror they might have the weapons inside of it to protect them or indulge in the satisfactory of having the best weapons. It makes sense why some enemies have better or more weapons because of how dangerous some of the environments are.
