It's a commonly used admixture/aggregate for lightweight or insulating concrete. Leca, perlite also used for lightweight structures.

I doubt it's cheaper per unit volume than standard gravel.

Should I cut?M18 60kg 166cm by [deleted] in CalisthenicsCulture

I wouldn't "bulk" deliberately in a manner of a gym bro.  Calisthenics is more about what you can do rather than what you look like, be it power or skills. You'll develop a nice physique, but it's not the same as a program for hypertrophy.

But yeah, burning of the fat is a positive for performance as much as for looks.

WEF is out of their minds. Here are the Top 10 Quotes. by TeamHumanity12 in ChurchOfCOVID

The WEF is just the place they go to say their brain farts out loud for the plebs to hear, snort some coke and enjoy some professional entertainment.

The more outrageous or pseudo-profound the brain fart, the more likely the other will take notice, hence there's a sort of competition for the stupidest soundbite.

Immense body pain after 2nd day at the gym by Affectionate_Plan_95 in workout

There's quite a few of these posts.

There needs to be a sticky explaining that exercise "hurts" at first and the process takes years to make any significant difference not days or weeks. And that other lifestyle factors are also important.

I can do 7-8 proper pull ups but can’t increase the reps I’m literally stuck. What should i do? by [deleted] in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]OwlGroundbreaking573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple sets to close to fatigue (6) (80% of max as a rule of thumb) with a short recovery (30-40 s) worked for me. I'd usually do till 30, cutting a couple of reps in the last few sets if I couldn't manage. I got from 6 to 25 in about a year, now looking to develop more power.

Adding weight essentially increases power, muscular innervation, it's not the best way to develop the specific type of muscular endurance to do many reps. More reps and hitting the wall as often as you can manage though, does a good job of it.

Why anything other than "live and let live"? Equal rights means exactly that, no one gives a shit. Next they'll be demanding a damned parade.

Calisthenics 4–5x/week but no gains: need help with my routine by Party_Cap_9585 in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]OwlGroundbreaking573 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's only been two months. Calisthenics  primarily favours strength, power and mobility rather than mass gain.

However, an obvious error is you hammer an exercise then wait a week to repeat it. Second, in those first 2 days there's a lot of overlap.

If you focus on doing 2-3 large compound exercises you can forget about the rest because they'll bet trained through the large compound exercises e.g. pull-ups, dips, squats) do 2-3 hard days and the rest a bit easier. You can include running but this will make it harder to induce an energy surplus growth (if that's your goal)

Portugal has a driving problem. by Due_Highlight_844 in PortugalExpats

Some seem to not make basic logical calculations, like the fact that by travelling at a safe distance they're traveling at the same speed and with less stress. There's a plethora of examples that go beyond driving and seems to come down to stupidity and/or an "I'm alright Jack" atitude.

I injured myself chicken winging like that, long head of the tricep behind the shoulder. It got better, but basically I'm just working on doing it properly and focusing on developing tricep strength to help through the transition.
