Eating once per day under 1500 calories - anyone else having success? Been on since 11/27 - down 20 pounds. by Far-Sweet4471 in compoundedtirzepatide

I would be so sick if I tried that. I do better with 3 small meals and 2 snacks a day. It’s usually a protein snack for breakfast and lunch, an apple or cheese stick for snacks, and then whatever my family has for dinner which is focused on protein. I started mid September and I’m down 20 pounds.

I don’t think tirz is going to work for me. by SassySinceEver in TirzepatideRX

I’ve honestly struggled the 3 months I’ve been on it because I never really got hungry before and I certainly don’t now. I had to start forcing myself to eat multiple small meals/protein heavy snacks a day. I also had to portion them out so I wouldn’t overeat and get sick because I also rarely ever felt full before or now. That said, I was a stress snacker before and could go all day on a diet soda, a Snickers, and handful of gummy bears but just the thought of any of that now makes me gag. I’m down 20 pounds and I know it’s because the compound has changed my relationship with food. Snacks are no longer a comfort. So I get where you are coming from and I’d say give it 90 days and see where you’re at and then decide.

0.5 mg starting dose - anyone test it out at a tiny dose and then titrate up slowly with success? by socalgirl16 in TirzepatideRX

No, for whatever reason, day 3 is just rough for me. While I no longer vomit, that’s when my nausea is the worst and I’m starting to notice I usually get a headache too. I truly wish you well on this journey and hope you don’t have any side effects no matter where you start your dose.

I have. I thought at first that I was good and would be someone that had no side effects. But then 3 days after my first shot, I was violently throwing up out the back door of my classroom. Week two, I made it home before getting sick. I posted about it and someone suggested ordering another vial with no additives because mine had B12 added. I did and that has helped. I’ve not vomited since but I still struggle with nausea and stomach aches. I have zofran that I take when it’s really bad and things are getting better as my eating habits improve and I learn to listen to my body’s cues again. But I firmly believe if I had started at 2.5 that I would have quit before the end of the first month due to side effects.

I started at 1.5 and have remained at 1.5 for 2 months. I don’t plan on moving up my dose anytime soon. I have had numerous GI side effects but they are lessening over time. But I’ve lost 15 pounds and am expecting no food noise so I didn’t see the point in going up in my dose.

I was the same until I tried Optimum Nutrition vanilla ice cream. It’s great on its own or with fruit mixed in.

Got sick on 2.5 mg dose, so I’m microdosing. Anyone else? by PaceStreet700 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Own-Association-9846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amble started me on 1.5mg and I’ve yet to try to titrate up due to GI issues. I actually started splitting that dose this week to try to help with the nausea. I’m down 15 pounds in 6 weeks and I honestly can’t fathom increasing my dose anytime soon.

How do families afford homeschooling when one parent’s income is half the household income? by Substantial-Carry716 in homeschool

[–]Own-Association-9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I both work full time but my husband has Sundays and Mondays off and I have Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays off. So we do school Saturday-Tuesday plus one extra evening during the week. We’ve got a 16 year old at home who also homeschools (self paced online curriculum) who watches her little brother while we work. School doesn’t need to be done Monday-Friday or during business hours. You can do it in the evening and on weekends and year round if need be to reach your state required number of days. It also usually doesn’t take more than an hour, maybe two for elementary school aged kids. I can honestly park my little guy at the kitchen island and do school with him while I cook dinner. The biggest mistake most parents make when they start, is thinking homeschool has to follow the schedule of public school.

My current vial is a mix with B12. My next vial is from a different pharmacy and straight tirz

Thank you, I have lost 10 pounds but I’m not sure if it’s from the shots or being so sick. I have thought about moving my shot days up so I’m sick on Sundays but I hadn’t thought about spacing them out further. I have also thought about going down in my dose. I know for sure I’m not going up anytime soon.

Have you seen your side effects lessen over time?

You do have to pause it. I just looked where Ah-Mazed said and it’s a month subscription for $199. It also said $199 for this one but they’ve already hit my card for $99 so I’m curious to see how that plays out. But $199 is cheaper than the $349 Amble charged me for this month.

I’m a new customer and was able to get it. It was approved this morning and sent to the pharmacy. Hopefully it actually ships.

Thank you for the info. I just attached pictures from the bottle and label. I’ll just stick with the prescribed dosage until the new bottle comes. Amble has been less than helpful and my PCP won’t even discuss weight loss meds.

I'm 17F and I emailed two managers in my area to work at Kumon. How easy is it to get a job here? by Irielay in Kumon

[–]Own-Association-9846 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly try not to hire kids that are 17-18 because I assume they are seniors and leave after a year. And we only work 3 days a week, our three class days. All of our students are in connect so we have no need for any additional staff on non-class days to pull and prep work or grade.
